I wondered who that was. You cheated and skipped past everyone at the toll booth.

I was in no rush to get to work, so I stayed in the sucker lane.

Hells yea I cheated, I drive in that crap every morning so I've learned which lane goes the fastest at what point of the tollway. I'm an impatient mofo when I just wake up

I normally skip past it all, but didn't feel like being bothered with it on Monday morning.

I take them to Wheel Technologies
http://www.wheeltechnologies.com/

Its at 35 & valley view near farmers branch.

If you are getting a repair/repaint, it is $125 flat rate.

I think I got all 4 redone for ~500.00. I think they knocked a little off for some reason, but can't remember why. They do pretty good work. Talk to Jose if you can.

They will do any color in the book.

The thought is we will do this in October. Trance will post to the club site so check on the calendar in the coming weeks for more info.

We would like to get all the ACDFW members together so everyone can meet each other. It will be a food & drinks kinda meet with a club photo shoot near by with as many club members and their cars. We have an estimated 40 members now and it would be a great photo shoot to get all 40 members and cars together. This will be the biggest gathering of Acuras at one time and we can show off to Acurazine how serious we are as a club.

I'm also going to host a movie night at my house sometime in October as well. I've got a big high def TV, HD DVD player, and surround sound system. I have several movies already or we can rent any I don't have. Suggested movies are: Fast and the Furios(all 3) (Tokyo Drift is in HD-DVD format, Gone in 60 Seconds, to name a couple). I'll take requests up to that day.

We may mix it up a bit and add a short drive to the beginning or end of either of these events to give everyone a chance to take part in one of these drives and show DFW how great our cars look in large numbers.

October is going to be a fun month for meets. Check the club site regularly in the coming days/week.

Hey guys, I'm moving from NJ to McKinney in 2 weeks and curious about registration and property taxes on my 3G TL. How much will I be paying in property taxes on my 04 TL with 21000 miles?

Welcome to Texas and the DFW Metroplex!

No property taxes in Texas on cars. Just your annual registration which runs about $60-$65 if I remember correctly.

Make sure to visit our club site and register, www.acuraclubdfw.com. We have 3 events coming up in the month of October for everyone to get together. It's a great mix of people and Acuras that'll you get to mix with and become friends with.

^^ No, he's been out of college about a year now. The delay was caused by him saving up money for a while, and then deciding to wait for the 07s because they were only a few months away, instead of buying an 06 and having a year old car after just a couple months.

nevermind....that vid is from one of the mischief videos....oddly enough, Kirk Austin, the guy that owns the silver porsche w/the texas flag, lives on PK Lake. Hes my old boss, Kyle's brothers brother in-law.

Sweet car, seen it in person, got pics next to it, and his M5, and his Gallardo, and his 40' Baja, and his helicopter... He actually won the Gumball that year.

Mishief videos consist of fast driving on the gumball here, overseas and inbetween. Theres some bad ass street racing and rental car wreckage. Its worth it to check them out.

Question is a CF hood really ricey. I ask because there is a 2nd gen thread about CF hoods from VIS for $400. I need to get a dent pooed out of mine and repainted at some point to fix all the chips. That would easily be close to 400.

I know you can paint CF as an option also. Any thoughts from the DFW experts.

MY 02 TLS is ABP, thought the gray CF might look OK, just didn't know about the rice factor.

Opinions?

I dont think its rice, looks pretty cool if you ask me. But if you're gonna spend the money anyway that might be a way to go. From what Ive heard it does shed some weight as well, just not sure how much..

...and if the CF makes enough of a weight difference then you got to set the car up and lower it in the front otherwise you'll have a little more lift in the front.

One thing to consider though is the resale on your car with a CF hood. Is that something that you want to do to maintain the value in the car.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that a CF hood on a 2nd Gen TL is not worth it unless you are willing to sink so more cash into things that improve the car's performance, handling, or durability.

But...if you like it...then that is really all that matters.

Thanks for the opinions. I agree Mark, there are other additional considerations, but hopefully some tiens are in the future.
I know there is some weight loss (we can all use some of that) with CF, and that is always good on mpg and ET.

Thanks forthe feedback. Something to consider if I am planning on hanging on to if for a few more years. Got to hold out til the 09 restyle.

Every couple of years it comes through. They do it ever year over seas. Seeing them go down I-20 was awesome!! Watch mischief 3000 to see Dallas and Ft. Worth.

Most the guys run from the cops, as you will see in the vid, as well as get arrested or get multiple tickets.
