when i was talking to one of the city clerks, i told her that it what be in the first half of May. the date i'm thinking of is Sat. May 12th, 2007. the date that will be on the event permit application will obviously be the final one but, there are some things that need to be done first. this would be sponsor related. believe me, i got it guys. just be patient...

DAMN that would be big huy. big props if you can pull that off man. i dont think cops favor japanese cars though. they favor trucks and american muscle. not our cars =[

i agree with huy about notifying the cops (as much as i hate them)

no matter where we go, its hard to conceal 50 acuras with rowdy drivers like us. everywhere we go we can get complaints or too much attention, then sooner or later cops will show up. i think we have to tell cops we are just geting together for a meet and will be responsible and mature about what we do.

please don't whore up the thread. if it's not directly meet related, we don't need to hear/see it.

Cool, another meet...this is the first time i check out this thread....after reading ~6 pages of posts, i guess i'll chime in.

If there's a set date (they need this), i can TRY and get the guys at Optima Batteries America to sponsor our event. They do a lot of sponsorship and they do it nation-wide so Pismo is no prob. I'll do my best to help out if any one needs.

Let's make this happen!

yea, i think its important to set a definite date ASAP so that people can ask for time off of work, school, etc and plan accordingly. We can then get into the vendors and what not after that because we'll need to give them a date so they can mark it up

Import tunning shop such as Super Autobac, etc...
Pismal Beach city and Prime outlets owner
Local restaurants
Tire companies
...................................and many more

So our first objective is to find the location that could potential give us event permit by city official of that location, how much it cost to rent the place (if any), and any vendors/sponsors that will promiss to sponsors us to pay for the cost if the event happens. To be able to do that each of us need to contribute in anyway as we can to be able to make this Mega All-California meet event to happen.

Mike (aznbo187) mentions about National State Park meet, and I think it might be the best place for the meet if they can reserve one section just for us. Mike: do you what's the name of national state park that hosted the rsx? Anyone know state park near central coast?

Let's hear more ideas and keep everyone update

Don't forget local newspaper would do good too. This would be a incentive for sponsors "having their name mentioned in the papers".

Lac, the park is called Craigs Regional Park. now that I think about it, it might not work because the park doesn't have a single parking lot thats big enough for the amount we are anticipating. Here is aLink

I think most regional parks will not have a large huge parking lot that hosts a lot of cars, but rather have a few dozen smaller lots somewhat seperated. I think we need to find one that has a large sized parking lot so we can all be in one place, have the BBQ, raffles and all other events going on.

This is coming along well. I dont think it would hurt to contact hounda-tuning or other honda related magazines to cover and sponsor our event. I Also think contacting the police is one of the most important things that needs to be done, in order to actually have the meet work out.

i think itll be worse for us if the cops werent notified cause then theyll just be handing out tickets left and rite. but since the cops will be notified i think that theyll be a little more leaniant towards car with mods.

We'll see. Pismo is a pretty chill place. Never dealt with any cops there. I remember awhile back that there was an Art & Festival near Pismo....I believe the parking is big enough. The car will get dirty though because some might have to park in the sand. I have sent my scouter (gf ) to check to see if they build any houses over it yet...lol

From South San Jose to San Luis Obispo is 180 miles. San Luis Obispo to Pismo is another ~15 miles or so. As far as mileage go, Bay Area is looking at least 200+ miles.

If we do go to Pismo, parking in the sand would be a problem. My car is so low I would get stuck instantly

Yeah, I don't think it's too far either. When you are talking about an "all Cali" meet, Pismo does sound like the most central point. Either there or Fresno. I think Pismo would be nicer though.

Fresno is a no-no. If it's a long drive, you can always commute with someone. Believe me it's not that bad if you got a bunch of people going. Talk about dedication, the people driving 600+ miles round trip is a bunch of TL fanatics!! I dont think I can do that; parents will think I'm a psycho. As far as parking in the sand, I'm pretty sure that wont be possible anyways. Every weekend, the parking is full for a few cars. This is like an ARMY of car, lol.

I am way North, Chico. Pismo is 400 miles South of me...but, I am up for it. Would need to be a Sat. if possible. Monterey is a real nice area as well, close to Pebble Beach. What kind of numbers do you guys think we might pull in?
