for sure man... i think doing installs yourself are always a good learning experience as long as nothing goes horribly wrong (which has happened... er). i know for a fact i appreciated the help from other forum members back when i first started too, so guess it's a way to pass on the "tradition" in helping otehrs out.

I don't know about going back to Angeles Crest. My friend got into a motorcycle accident there, and is paralyzed now from the waist down. I haven't gone back for a year, and do not plan on it. So if you guys go there, count me out...
