Zdx mods

I installed new wheels on my Zdx. I choose the invert model from niche in 20" size to keep the stock dimensions, think it looks nice and matches the zdx lines.

Rubber was replaced too, in this case I went to 275 nitto invos. Traction is nice on these tires, and they look awesome too.

Performance mods done have only been the k&n replacement filter.

In exhaust we built a catback system with magnaflow and removed the third cat. Nice rumble under full acceleration, but silent during cruising speeds because we kept the stock resonators.

I have considered installing a supercharger, has anyone tried this?. I've seen the CP one for TL, but in their web page they only have one for the 3.2l engine.

I saw a video of a 3.7l TL in youtube, but dont know if they adapted it or was just a protptype that never made it to market.

Any suggestions?

A Little Caliper Cover Flavor

Installed 4 Acura caliper covers over the weekend. I hate our bland calipers and those "big brake fakes" are totally ridiculous. The RDX covers are just refined enough to add a little style and not scream.... Look at me!

Next, need get the calipers and mounting bracket powder coated in gloss black.

Thanks, justnspace.

Correct, the cover is 45218-TX4-A00 and the 6mm bolts are 90102-TX4-A00. They can be ordered from the parts department at your local Acura dealership or via an online resource.

I drilled and tapped each caliper to accept one bolt (top). The sides of the covers were modified to fit the larger front caliper and the smaller rear.

You can also use RTV adhesive to stick it on without the need to drill for the bolt

I did that repeatedly...just tape them into position for a half hour and bam, they'll hold.
Easy to remove too if you ever felt so inclined although you don't need to to change pads.

ZDX Lighted Emblem

One of those Amp’d Emblems and a piece of .080 acrylic did the trick.

Here you go, a little over 20' away from my cell, no zoom. Sorry the quality isn't that great, but it gives you a good take on the lumens those four LEDs are putting out.
