Wow!

I had to drop into the dealership earlier today and I made sure to check out the ZDX, and man was I impressed! Looking at pictures for months I thought it was quite ugly, but then when I saw it today I was amazed. Its perfect.
The exterior is not as bulky as you would imagine, it actually flows quite well, and the interior is just amazing. Suede headliner, really comfortable seats, very roomy in the front and the back for average adults, and the trunk is not too bad either.
I am VERY impressed, Kudos to Acura.

That headliner isn't really suede.

Okay then. l0l....I understand where you are coming from, it is bold, yet everything flows extremely well. I too was completely disgusted by it, until I saw it at the dealership today. Now I want one.

I think the utility of it may preclude it from my stable but I certainly hope the features (a/c seats, higher quality materials) make it into the rest of the lineup. I wonder what the next RL will steal to remain the flagship for the Acura line.

Yeah, I was hoping the same thing...I was very happy with the interior, both design and craftsmanship.

my bf's dad just saw one at our local dealership. he said it looked great, but was 56+, and after accessories will be over 60

$59,590 in Canada for the tech. Acura.ca doesn't show the Advance package and it looks like the tech packages are the same so we pay almost $10,000 more. That's crazy when our dollar is worth 95 cents now. You Americans get a pretty good price by comparison.

It is even CRAZIER to know that the car is actually being manufactured in Ontario!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So they price it about $10,000 higher than in the States, for a vehicle that is Canadian made!? How crazy is that?!

Oh, and don't forget that many of the beautiful color combinations are not available in Canada since the US ZDX will have more choices in the interior leather. This is ridiculous!

Yeah, it's made about an hour from where I live. And I would probably pay more for delivery, too.

Though I do agree paying more is painful it comes down to supply and demand....

Here in Canada we say buy 1500 in a year through the whole country, where our cousins in the states buy 15000 or more ( don't quote me on the numbers, just using them as reference. ). It's kind of like buying in bulk. Buy one of something you get a price. Buying 10 of something you get a whole lot better price. This is just simple economics.

I too do still dislike the facts, but there is really not much we can do.

I think supply and demand are part of it, but I don't think dealers in the US get the ZDX for almost $10,000 less than Canadian dealers. I think they just price them that much higher in case the Canadian dollar drops.

True, but the Canadian dollar has been very strong against the US greenback for almost 2 years now. Yes it can still drop, but you would hope that if that were the case Acura would have reacted by now to the situation.

ZDX tech package
MSRP $49995 USD
MSRP $59590 CD

Here in Canada we also don't get the Advanced package. For $10,000 more we do get rear heated seats and headlight washers though.

Well by the looks pf your avatar, your design aesthetic makes sense.
not trying to bash you....you did choose a nice car to own tho.

I don't love everything about the ZDX, but after years of boring and/or ugly 4 doors and trucks, at least Acura is trying something a little more coupe like, which I like. I've had like 5 or 6 Acura coupes.
