Why are tire valve caps green?

Why are tire valve caps green?
I just noticed the valve caps on my ZDX are green in color with what looks like the Acura logo on the end. Anyone know the reason for the color?

i believe they signify nitrogen filled. based on google search.

Thanks for the info. I wonder how much I had to pay extra for N, when good old air is 80% N!? I wonder if I can replace the caps with good old black ones before someone steals one or more.

i think its more for the dealer. i'm sure you can use the regular caps. i think my dealer charges about 45-50 for nitro fill.

Yes, you can. The green caps are merely a quick reference to let you know the tires have been filled w/ pure Nitrogen.
