I like these wheels but I saw something that they only fit 17+ MDX assume we would be same as 10-13. Any idea why not :( |

Im back with WHEEL Questions
The wheels I am interested in are black MDX wheels Bolt pattern is good. I really dont want them to stick out any further than stock. ZDX 5X120 19 x 8.5 (4.25 = 107.95mm) +45 107.95 + 45 = 152.95 BLACK WHEELS 5x120 20 x 8(4.0 = 101.6mm) +55 101.6 +55 = 156.6 Difference is 156.6 - 152.95 = 3.65mm SO my crude process result is that the black wheel would stick out 3.65 mm further than the stock zdx wheel. And the MDX wheel is .5 inch thinner than the mdx wheel. Can you check my math |

Because the MDX wheel is 3.6mm narrower than the ZDX - the outside of the wheel will be 1.8mm further in if the two wheels have the same offset. Because the MDX has 10mm higher ET the rim will go further in towards the center of the car - the outside of the rim will be 11.8 mm inward and the inside of the rim will be 8.2 mm inward. I would check if you have at least that much clearance between the inside of the wheel and tire to the spring and suspension on your stock wheels and tires and then it should work, but might look a bit funny with the wheels about 1/2" further inside the wheel wells. You can also get cheap set of 5mm spacers to move the MDX wheels out and get more clearance and make the change less noticeable... |

I can get 2019 MDX A-Spec wheels but not sure if it'll be ok. I'm afraid of Backspacing, clearance, hitting fender, hitting struts, etc. I tried to use the calculators and all but I'm so confused. The MDX ASpec wheels are 265/45R20. I believe the Offset on these are 50. Inside the rim it says 20x8 1/2J 50. Do you think these will have any issues? Those 2019 MDX rims will fit - no spacers needed and there will be no rubbing. You could add 5 or 10mm spacers if you want for a wider look, but it is not necessary.
The stock ZDX wheels are 19x8.5 ET45 The MDX wheels are 20x8.5 ET50. So the rim widths are the same and the MDX rims will space the tire 5 mm further inward towards the center of the car. That is about 1/4", that won't even be noticeable. The 265/40R20 tires on the MDX rims are 20mm (10mm more inside the rim and 10 more outside the rim) than the stock MDX tires which are 245/50R20. But that additional width will not cause any contact. I have 20x10 ET40 wheels with 285/40R20 tires on my ZDX and there is no rubbing at all and that has the same inside spacing as your wheel and tire combo. Send pics when they are installed... |
