Picked up car over the weekend

On saturday, I picked up the ZDX that I had ordered. . . .Black / Umber / Advance.

First impressions: The car has amazing lines from the rear and 3/4 rear. Everything seems to flow towards the rear.

The handling is very similar to my RL, which had the A-spec suspension. I should qualify that by saying in the comfort mode, it is similar. With the suspension in the sport mode, there is a significant difference that is obvious when going over speed bumps. . .tighter and more controlled. My weekend passengers all preferred the sport mode.

The stereo is awesome, better than the RL's. . . . .and there are so many option for audio sources. I still have to read through the manual.

Minor issues: The MID customizes the way that the doors unlock with the remote control versus with the keyless access (just pulling on the handle). My car is not distinguishing the 2 ways and reacts to both methods the same way, despite my setting the options differently.

Otherwise, love the car.

Webhead -

Very nice! Beatiful, even stunning looking, car. It looks especially great in that color. Umber/black is a sweet combo. You've really figured out the best angles to demonstrate the ZDX's lines and shapes. Acura should hire you for their photo shoots.

Congrats.

(I need to be sure my wife doesn't see these photos - ever since she saw the ZDX at our dealer the day I picked up my TL she's been commenting on how much she likes the ZDX).

Nice ride Web !! looks great !!

One thing I did notice that I would go back to the dealer to get is .. when they put the LED boards on they took off the front splash guards and didnt move them to the rear like my dealer did for me ( included ).

Since they come with the car they are yours. I would guess with your color they are a solid color? On mine they are white on black. Here's what mine look like

Hope this helps
Jay

Jm2010 - Thanks. I wish I could claim credit for the photos, but a buddy of mine took the photos. He is an aspiring photographer.

JZDX - thanks for the information. I will ask my service advisor about that. Nice rider btw. White was the other color that I was considering as it brings out the contrast in the all dark glass roof.

Man, those 20" wheels REALLY bring out the style of the ZDX. Fantastic looking vehicle. I'd love to see those wheels on JZDX's truck as white is my favorite color for the ZDX (hint hint)...

JZDX - I have had part of the clear shield done. It covers the front part of the hood and the side panels, front door handle wells and all door edges. I also had the acura rear applique done. I am taking the car back on Monday to have the front bumper and possible mirrors done. The car is so new that they are having a difficult time finding templates for the ZDX. It is being done thru the dealer.

Web, when they got mine from another dealer in town . it already had the door edge & handle wells done.

They tried to sell it to me but I declined at the time thinking I would do it later as I didnt know about if it would damage the new paint in any way. Then to my suprise it was one of the freebies it had on it after everything was signed. Im sure they didnt care as it was mostly labor to install it anyway.. including the luminar window tint too.

I was thinking about getting the front done though .. its love bug season here in Florida and let me tell you .. they SUCK having to clean it off every 2 days!!

How much as it to do the front ?

JZDX - I did get the front of the car covered with the clear shield. It was done in 2 settings. It includes the front quarter of the hood, the entire front bumper, the front part of the front quarter panels, front door handle wells, all door rear edges, and the side mirrors. Total cost was around $600. It was a little more expensive as the installer had to free hand the mirrors as there were no templates for these. This was installed through the dealer.

I had the clear shield on my RL and found it to be well worth it.
