Navigation System Update

Has anyone updated the navigation system software on their 2010 or 2011 ZDX? If so, how do you do it?

I also updated my 2010 in 2013, with the green disc. No problems, but costs $100 and I did not notice any real updates. A new interstate in my area was still not included. I have since been offered another $100 update! This already overpriced built-in GPS is a racket! Eventually those screens will just be monitors for our phones, as Apple has already contracted with several major brands. Stay tuned!

Does it really take 5 hours for it to update?

Not everyone had drunk the apple Kool-Aid.....I would not use an apple product even I was paid, and I'll wager many others feel the same...I really like the onboard Nav system, and see no reason to use a phone in place of it, if I even had a smartphone I owned(I have a work smartphone)

Also, if or when apple or android starts offering this type of partnership through car makers, you can also bet the price will drop like a rock for the onboard Nav systems.

Update NAVI

I found out years ago, the software provider - Garmin and the like only has the updates if the municipalities update their information in the public record nation database. I found Portland Oregon had never had an update for over 20 years before 2009. I agree the updates are over priced. I love my NAVI but in MIAMI the way the address are set up it's near impossible to get an address to take in ZDX. If I need directions I go to my Android - but I still use my NAVI for situation awareness (SA) to avoid the long wait at intersections here in MIA.

Apple's CarPlay should be out in some cars this fall. I believe Android Auto should be appearing next year. I'll be happy to see both, since I think the Acura's UI have been actually getting worse with each new generation.
