My second baby: 2010 ZDX Advance Bronze/Umber
As I mentioned before, I now have twin ZDXs. The car gets ready for sailing to cold Russia, already loaded with new 21' DPE wheels, RV6 J-pipe and other mod stuff. My current AWP ZDX goes to my wife and will be more (or less) civil but minor mods are still expected, and the bronze one will inhert my current custom exhaust (with J-pipe added) is destined to be modded more heavily.
Lets enjoy the stock look for now, this ionized bronze under sunlight looks so sweet.

Unfortunately my Z's are not the only one in Russia and even in Moscow, but they are still very rare.
And the pics are made by my friend who is shipping the car for me. I only wish Carchex would make such detailed photos

Wow, great pix. Zporn with all the closeups! What does the paint meter indicate with the 40-45 readings. I assume it's paint thickness so indicates no repaint?
great Z specimen for sure. maybe you'll get one in every color!
congrats...

I'd love to hear more about this transaction. Was the buyer a friend of yours? A service you hired? Did you find it on autotrader or dealer searches?
Your new Z is beautiful, looks immaculate.
I always note the drivers seat leather and I've seen 2 Zs where the curved dash leather above the glove box was bubbling up -so much for the 'innovative process' they used to wrap leather to concave surfaces.
I'd be so excited if this IoniZed beast was headed my way.
Was this your first color choice? Any others in the running?
I've seen Umber - and I'd like to see Sumatra in person.

Unfortunately these lovely pics were made after the car was purchased.
I had to judge by the dealer pics (which weren't too bad) and this report
https://www.carchex.com/inspect/repo...2868d95cd7682b
Just so you know what Carchex provides
The buyer was a friend of mine, a professional export auto dealer, but he lives in LA and there were no Z's around that area that met my expectations. Actually, there were no such cars anywhere in the USA.
We even started to look at Manheim auction even though it would be the last place for me to buy a car. After months of futile search some cars started to show up but all of them were far away. All of them were made on 12/09, last VIN digits very close. As we found out most of them were recently sold at an auction in a not-so-good condition and then offered for sale by the dealership. And then we found this one in Atlanta, only 2000 miles away haha. Certified (even though it doesn't guarantee anything at all), Carfax was OK, one owner, no auction records. My friend felt that the car is most likely crap but my intuition told me its not. He admitted that I was right when the car arrived to LA
So overall it took me like 3 or 4 months of everyday searching through cars.com for new offers. Just like my first time when I was buying my white Z. That one was from Cleveland but I also was lucky to get a pristine car for good money.
Both times I was greedy to cover ticket and time expenses for my friend (he also wasn't fond of the idea of flying to another part of the country with big chances of returning without the car), a few round trips like that and you were sorry that you didn't buy a new car nearby.
But I was lucky to get both cars in perfect condition buying them blindly.

There's only one similar color/trim Z on autotrader now but it was in 2 reported accidents.
are you saying a car going to auction is a red flag of something?
Were most 2010 bronzes made in 12/09?
I'd love to see the prod breakouts w/dates on th Z trims. Are colors coded into the serial #?
someone did this for the 2003 CLS -6MT trims from the serial #s one time. I think my CLS only had about 130 clones.

yeah most (if not all) 2010 advance bronze/umber Zs I found were 12/09
auction is not always red flag but usually cars there are not too close to perfect condition. You would need someone with access to auction sites in order to retrieve condition report (often you can even the post-sale price, very useful for bargain)

Transformations in progress
Alongside with usual Vleds for DRLs and parking lights I painted the grille and made a much cleaner installation of Hella LED strip. The result did not come easy though: for this installation we had to cut bits of the power bar behind the bumper with a buzz saw! Tow hook hole is now gone too. But I love the result!
Something odd is going on with Vleds company. I have many issued with their latest 3157 switchback bulbs, they keep bugging. Their newest 9005 DRL bulb also has some weird color not matching the rest of their 5000k stuff. Also now their gen2 V3 triton bulbs come with a huge control box that you can't get rid of. I received Tritons that I planned to use for back up lights and I think I'll manage to mount them there, but no more Tritons for tail lights because they won't fit. But still there are no other options out there for quality LED mods.
Also I mounted the DPE rims. And they look really mean! Pretty deep concave and awesome outlook. Only drawback is that I barely managed to fit OEM lug nuts, had to work on the wheel tool to make it thinner but now it cracked so I'd better get some aftermarket lug nuts.
Enjoy the pics although they are iPhone quality More mods comming
