If You Could Do It Aagin...Would You Still Buy a Z
A) Definitely! I love this car.
B) Probably not. I wish I would have gotten a different car (which car)
C) Absolutely Not!
For me the answer is A. But one thing I would've done differently is save some money and buy a certified pre-owned low mileage 2012 Advance instead of buying a new 2013. However if my needs change in the future and I have a greater use for a backseat, the 2016 RDX mid cycle refresh might be an option (there's been speculation that Acura is adding an Advance package and jewel eye LED headlights). An RLX Advance might be another option if I ever decide to trade in the Z.

ADVANCE DRIVER
A. I waited 2 years to get it. I will keep for a while as well, and if I do let go it would be for a newer/used TLX but that's 5ish or more years down the road I am content with the Z! After having my TL 6 years I think this will do the same.

A) I waited 4 years to get the ZDX and I just got it about 6 weeks ago.
That being said, I have complaints about the user interface in that car. It seems like a step backwards from the 2005 RL.

Totally agree about the user interface. My previous 2 cars were a 2009 Accord V6 Coupe with Nav and a 2009 TL Shawd Tech and sometimes I kind of miss both of those cars. I just don't see that much of a difference in the user interface of those 2 cars and a 50K ZDX. For 2013, Acura could've at least updated the nav display (a 3D view like the RLX and even like the new Accord would've been nice). Every time I look at the nav screen it just seems so dated to me. Sometimes I could kick myself for selling the Accord Coupe and trading in the TL. Both of those cars would've been paid off and I would've been car note free with 2 extremely reliable cars with less than 50k miles each.

I don't understand why I have to go through more steps to make a phone call on the ZDX than the 2005 RL.

A. Waited until they toned down the beak and got the '13....so far nothing but compliments from people....I picked up a package at a UPS warehouse the other day and I thought I was going to have to clean drool off the car...about 10 drivers came out to look at it.

Keep the car, it is rare and one of a kind drive nicely, it does have flaw, nothing is perfect unless you are rich. I stick with my ZDX until Acura come out with something unique again.

MisterZDX, I'm in the process of looking for a ZDX to purchase and noticed you said above "one thing I would've done differently is save some money and buy a certified pre-owned low mileage 2012 Advance instead of buying a new 2013." Is there any significant difference between those 2 years (or any others) that would've made the 2012 preferable? Or are you saying they're so similar that you would've just saved the money and had essentially the same car? I plan to keep the ZDX for a long time (as I have almost all of my other cars), so I want to make sure I get the year/packages/options that I'll be glad I have and not regret while owning/driving it for a long time. Any input you or anyone else has would be great. Thanks in advance.

I've owned a 2010 TECH and currently own a 2013. I was/am the second owner, and would try to find a one-owner ZDX, but that's gonna make it harder to find one. Any year really, I mean Acura only built approx. 7,000 total over the 4 year model run. Today I waxed after thoroughly cleaning the exterior yesterday. Had it aligned yesterday as well. I took it for a spin afterwards and it was rather spirited....man I love getting it to 4900 - 5200 RPMs so that I get to feel and hear the VTEC. I mean I just love the rumble of the J37A5...
Yes, if you can find a decent example of the "Zed", buy it, drive it, and never let it go...

ZDX LOVER
A ! No regrets buying ZDX
I LOVED my tech model and really love my current Advance model black light color interior purchased two months ago
i agree about extra step to make a call and poor gas mileage that I tolerate but coming out of my
2004 Acura TL that I really liked, it’s a vast improvement. More places to put your phone or wallet and rare, reliable head turner.
My friend said it looks like an egg and I said thank you. I know a great design when I see it and when I park I always look back at it.
I chose it due to slight resemblance of X6 and modern timeless design and love that rear passengers have to duck cause that’s part
of the cost of the drastic slope that I love. To me the running boards gives it nice look and love the exhaust sound. Last night I took a second to
look at the interior at night seeing all the buttons light up and the small details like lighted handles and all the lights above and made be happy I chose it.
The German cars are beautiful X6, Audi, but Acura go longer with less issues so choosing this was a no brained if you into this design and I am.
Only thing I added wooden shift knob and led fog lights , new shocks cause they got noisy , led license plate bulb and trunk bulb.
I almost got the 2013 in black and very nice white interior and loaded but the grill looks like a ILX. I prefer the bigger grill that some dislike
so very glad I purchased and the cool options makes up for one or two gripes but the rareness of it is awesome

I will let you know in a bit. In the process of purchasing a low mileage 2013 at the moment. I bought a used MDX in 2012 and saw the 2013 ZDX on the showroom floor. It was love at first sight. Hit a deer a couple of weeks ago, totaled the MDX and now i have my chance for the ZDX. The MDX would have ran forever, I hope the ZDX does the same

30K miles on my 2012 Tech in 3 years. Haven’t regretted buying it for a single second. It IS rather heavy/thirsty though, but since Acura did not dain to offer a lighter/more agile upgraded successor to the Integra hatchback, I consider the trade off (AWD/luxury) still worthwhile.

Yep, I would....and in the process of obtaining a 2001 S2000 with 17,000 miles. I think there are a few S2000 owners here. Wonder if they would "do it again" on the S2K...
