How is your ZDX holding up?

Hi everyone. I may become a new ZDX owner so I am wondering how everyone is liking their ZDX in 2016. Any major issues along the way? How about this new recall I'm seeing about the driver airbag?

The ZDX I found is going for 28k for 46k mileage. 2012 Black with technology package. Does that seem pricey for the mileage? Also the carfax shows that the 3rd and last owner had it for only 1 month this year, should that be a concern?

No real issues and I am still as in love with it as I was 3 years ago when I drove it off the lot brand new. 2013 with 26k miles. Just took a 800 mile road trip last week and was thinking to myself how amazing this car is on the highway.

Sounds like the going retail price. I was ready to pay 30K for the same year/package with 40K mi., but since the car mostly lived in rust-belt Detroit, and a northside Indy Acura dealer was obstinate and wouldn't give me a clean bill of health on paper after inspection (rival brand dealer's used car), I passed and paid 35K for an Acura Certified Fla. car from a Chgo. dealer with only 15K mi. instead.

ZDX not a good fit for everybody (limited passenger/cargo room, poor gas mileage, etc.), so for all you know, maybe the last owner traded up for a Mercedes SUV with all the latest tech goodies?

I have put another 7K on my car with no issues. But, the original Acura battery was worn out and undersized for a car with so many electrical features, so I immediately replaced it with a yellow Optima.
Love it!

2013 Black\Black with 30k miles...Zero issues.

I recently changed jobs and now work at an auto auction as the IT guy, and you don't get any more jaded about cars if you work at an auto auction(trust me), but when I started work my ZDX was the center of attention for the first week I was there. It was nicknamed the "Batmobile"

My commute is only 5 miles now, down from 20, and I'm thinking about buying a daily driver to keep the mileage low so I can keep the ZDX longer.

I have yet to see a ZDX up for auction.

Although we don't have our 2010 ZDX any longer (traded on new RLX PAWS) it was a great car. When we traded it had 86000 miles. Absolutely no trouble, 2 TSBs: one for an airbag fitment issue and one for battery charging light. Also after 4 years the battery quit, the car was towed to the dealer (couldn't jump start) and a new battery installed, all at no cost. One of the best cars ever and you'll certainly stand out if you buy one.
Our reasons for trading: gas mileage kinda sucked: 22 hwy, 15-16 city. Back seat entry and exit was difficult for me and my old fart friends. And there are too many cars and not enough years left for me to stick with one car for more than 5-6 years.

Follow up to post #5 in this thread....I just got a recall notice for the airbag in my car, and my G/F's 2014 RDX SHAWD Tech got one as well. When I last checked neither of our cars were on the list.

Got the same recall notice yesterday and was also surprised. I remember checking last year when we had our MDX retrofitted and the ZDX wasn't identified.

No other issues to report other than regular servicing. Purchased with 33K miles and now have ~48K.

We still have our 2010, but it's being sold to a family member soon.

It's been a great vehicle, no issues and a great road car. Anytime we travel by highway, it's the one we take and for good reason.

2012 Advance. After 4 yrs of ownership and 20K miles (90% long distance), no trouble whatsoever. It's a road trip ute that is so comfortable for 2 ppl. Very impractical though, but if you want one, you know about it.

After 6yrs and almost 250,000km, my 2010 still drives like the day I bought it. Better towing would have been nice though, if it had maintained the MDX towing capacity, I'd be able to tow my boat with it...1500lbs just doesn't cut it.

I still love it.

Hmm, you know, with the addition of the X4 and Mercedes getting into the suv coupe segment, wonder if Acura is considering a second gen zdx? They might be able to sell more than 10k cars this time around, hehe.
If they do, I'd probably get one

Not to mention the Tesla Model X. I sometimes wonder how many people who've bought these new "SUV coupes" who see my ZDX wonder to themselves why Acura copied their design (not knowing that the ZDX came first).

Anyway, my ZDX is holding up wonderfully. At least once a month I have someone approach me at a gas station, parking lot, etc. asking if it's a brand new car. I think the designers did such a wonderful job that, while polarizing, they created a timelessly attractive vehicle. And the effort they put into production quality is also evident--fit-and-finish is excellent, the paint is holding up fabulously, the interior materials still look wonderful...
