comparing base, tech, adv
When I compare packages it appears "Remote Start" are on both the Tech and Adv. Is this correct?? Most of the Tech's and many of the Adv's I see advertised do not appear to include "Remote Start" as a feature and it is kind of a big deal for me. In fact whatever I buy if it does not have Remote start I will need to put an aftermarket one on it.

Actually I don’t believe it was standard on either model. I think mine has it due to the initial owner added it when buying new so I would say auto start was an option added
for Tech or Advance model

ZDX LOVER
Also on Advance under each interior door handle
there is a blue accent light also sport steering wheel so it’s thicker and whole ceiling material is soft suede type.
Better stereo more watts and of course the electronic suspension that goes out $4,000! and 20 inch rims

Our remote start factory works odd! The thing
is that once you remote start it and get to the car and open the door the engine shuts off and I have to restart it.
It would be nice if it stayed on.
Funny thjng is that I heard Jay Wolfe had 2013 and was meaning to go look at just because and guy said it was sold
so enjoy that beauty !!

Isn't that suppsed to be an anti-theft 'feature'? If you remote start and someone gains unauthorised entry to your vehicle, they could drive off with the car if the system didn't shut itself off. When I first got a keyless system, I was under the impression that one couldn't drive the car without the key fob in the car. However, it doesn't seem to be the case. There are many instances where if the car is started, you can drive off without the key fob in the car. You just won't be able to restart the car after you've stopped. It's happened to my brother-in-law and many others online. He started the car and decided he wanted to change jackets. Unfortunately, he forgot the fob was in the jacket he left at home... Now, I haven't tested this in the ZDX, but I assume the situation is similar. Though I do know the car beeps if the engine is running and the fob is not in the car.
So I guess it makes sense to ensure the fob is actually in the car before driving off...
Cheers

Since my Tech came originally with two fobs, and I am the only one who drives it, I keep the spare in the console to insert in the dash slot for such an emergency. But, I removed it’s battery since I understand continuous close proximity otherwise can be problematic (?).
