5 Things that make the ZDX great 5 things you think its missing.
So after driving my ZDX for a while I thought I would share the top five features and options about my zdx that I think are great and the five features and options I think it should have.
I would like to know what you guys think too, so please reply with your 5 and 5. TOP 5 FEATURES AND OPTIONS 1. SH-AWD 2. IPOD SEARCH AND HDD SEARCH SONG BY VOICE 3. ELS SOUND SYSTEM 4. IDS SUSPENSION 5. BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM 5 FEATURES AND OPTIONS I THINK IT SHOULD HAVE. 1. RAIN SENSOR WIPERS 2. POWER FOLDING MIRRORS 3. ALL AUTO UP WINDOWS INCLUDING THE REAR AND MOON ROOF. 4. MORE POWERFUL ENGINE OPTION 5. DSG AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. |
I love my ZDX! Much better than a traditional sedan or a SUV, best of both worlds!
I live in ATL and my top 5: 1. The seat cooling! AWESOME 2. Blind Spot Information System 3. ELS Sound System 4. CMBS (My brother says every woman should have this on their car - my husband wouldn't dare!) 5. Dual sunroof I wish it had: 1. Rain Sensor Wipers 2. Power Folding Mirrors 3. All Auto Up Windows including rear and moon roof 4. V8 engine and better towing capacity 5. Lane departure warning ___________ 2011 ZDX ADV 19" Alloy Wheels, Tow Package, Mud Guards, Palladium/Taupe Still have 08 Infiniti G37S Coupe, Previous Vehicles '05 Jaguar X Type, '05 BMW 330ix, '00 GMC Envoy |
Honestly, I LOVE EVERYTHING about my ZDX... ;-D
While IMO it has enough power, the ONLY thing that I wish it has is the 305-hp tweak that the TL SH-AWD has. I know it is only 5-hp bump, but still... After that, I think the ZDX is just perfect! The ONE thing that I love the most about my ZDX is: That it is SUPER RARE on the road... Like it is especially built just for me... ;-D |
Have had my base since Friday. Haven't played with it long enough to get acquainted all the bells and whistles because its been arctic cold here. LIKE:
SH-AWD Roof Rear camera Auto closing hatch Blue tooth responsiveness Missing (not 100% sure if some are truly missing or is it because I have the base. It's my first Honda/Acura product): After market bolt ons Heated steering wheel Auto folding mirrors Exhaust sound a la Nissan/Infiniti (loved my 350z note) More factory power options |
I agree with the lack of auto-folding side mirrors.
How do you ZDX owners deal with such a wide car in parking lots? |
It would also be nice to get a 6sp manual option IF they bump up the HPs.

Well said that.

Best 5:
1. Panoramic Roof 2. Unique Exterior Styling 3. Power Folding Side Mirrors (don't know why it took Acura so long to finally add this for 2013) 4. Nice Smooth Interior Materials 5. Parking Sensors Wish it had: 1. Black Copper Pearl Exterior color choice with Espresso Interior 2. The dual screen infotainment system from the 2016 Accord Touring with the better maps, Apple Car Play and Android Auto 3. Rain Sensing Wipers (no reason a car with an msrp above 50k shouldn't have this) 4. Krell Audio like the RLX Advance 5. Jewel Eye Headlights 6. Head Up Display 7. Heated Rear Seats 8. Rear Sunshades 9. Electronic Gear Selector 10. Surround View Camera System Okay I guess I got a little carried away, but what I'm saying is the ZDX could've been one hell of a vehicle if Acura brought it back for a second generation. All they needed to do was price it more competitively, or at least offer more features at the current price point. |
Best 5:
- power train (inc SHAWD and handling) - driver centric instrumentation (Tec Package) and paddle shifters - styling (rare, functional, unique) both outside and within (nice job design team) - quality of build (Precision Crafted Performance...Tec Package is great) - sound (understated but present) Wish I had: - better door pockets (to hold a spare water bottle or such) - ability to add roof rack - better towing capacity (but then I've never seen an x6 towing....lol) Frankly a great all round tourer... |

I find the ZDX audio to be quite good for a stock system using any input.
On my old first-gen RDX, the sound system was fair at best for radio, satellite, or CDs. But it was staggering how good it sounded with DVD-A discs. It seriously sounded like a completely different system. |
I've seen one ZDX in like 3 years.
They didn't sell out here. |

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this...but I scotchguard the fabric...such as all the foot-wells...if its a fabric (not leather) I spray 1 coat on in the evening and another the next morning and let it sit for 24 hrs. Believe the temp has to be above 15C for it to dry properly.
