Uneven rear brake pad wear?
I recently outfitted my 06' RSX-S with Centric powerslot rotors, and raybestos performance grade ceramic pads.
The rear rotors and pads are wearing unevenly. My shims look just like this picture

Basically, I see the SHIM that came with the raybesto's pads only covers about half of the calipers outer forks. The shim is relieved in the area of the ends of the two fingers, as shown in the picture. Its quite obvious the pads and rotors are wearing where the shim is, and not where the shim isn't.
Not yet anyway, after about 70 miles.
So that means, the outer ring of the pad & rotor, not the inner ring. Its clearly visible. The inner area of the rotor still has the machining marks from when it was new.
The implication is, over time it will wear a slight angle into the pad and rotor, right?
Are the shims supposed to be this way, or should I remove them?
