Trickle charge through the 12V outlet
Hi -- My 2003 RSX is used as a "station car" -- that is, it sits at the train station and shuttles my girlfriend from the station to her job (appx. 2 miles).
Naturally, the battery never gets a good charge. On a few occasions, it's been dead. I've jumped it, replaced it, given it the occasional long drive. In the end, it's become a big hassle.
Sooooo, two questions:
A) Is a trickle charger the solution? I figure I can buy a portable one, trickle charge it through the week, and bring it home on the weekend to plug into the wall.
B) It's my girlfriend, so I'd prefer it to work through the 12V (cigarette lighter) outlet, and not clamped to the battery. **Does the RSX allow this when it is not turned on?**
Thanks!
