tire size to get on 17 x 7 rims

Hey, I have a 2004 rsx base and just purchased new 17 x 7 rims offset +40 and have no idea what size tires to get. Im also looking into lowering it afterwards about an inch, so whats the best size to get to not rub the fender/bumper. Any info will do wonders, thanks.

Sites like tirerack can help you with your fitment issue. I don't know much about wheels.
