Reintroducing myself
I haven't been on AZ in ages, so I'm here to reintroduce myself to a new generation of AZ'ers.
I'm Dean. I operate a shop called Honsport here in Arcadia, CA where I mainly focus on doing suspension. I sell other things, but my standards are high. Unlike other shops, products that I sell through my shop has to pass a desk inspection, installation, track and road testing before I deem it acceptable. I mean, my Lotus or Ferrari owners wouldn't be too happy with me if I were to sell them something from, lets say OBX, so I carry the same thought with other makes that I work on. I'm a double major (graduated already) in Mechanical Engineering with focus in Solid Works and Automotive Technology. I've worked in the Spocom/Import (whatever you wanna call it these days) industry since 1997, so I've been around the block. So, all in all, many shops take the "average street driven joe" approach. I've taken a different road. Hardcore St.
Some people find me abrasive, others say I'm cocky, other people say i act like a "know it all", but i just say I'm confident in what I'm talking about in terms of stuff that I know. And I'm one of those that don't diddle daddle with sugar-coating the truth. This is how it is, this is how I see it, and if you can't handle it, you need to grow a thicker skin. Because if you're getting mad at me for what I say about cars, life has harsher things in store.
