New RSX

Hey everyone, my name is Sonia

just picked up a 2006 Blaze orange RSX Type-S, 58K on it.
Still deciding on what my first mod's should be, even more indecisive on
if I should get a spoon or greddy exhaust

any thoughts?

Nice, 05 and 06s are the best models.

I don't know much about the RSX exhaust but I'd look into tuning. They're some gains to be had in the ECU department.

I like the Apex-i WS... It's very mellow and adds mid-range power and matches well with 4-1 header and a CAI.

ive had a greddy exhaust and ive never noticed nor ever had anyone complain about the noise. although it wsant the most attractive looking muffler but the low subtle tone was very sought after by other people. not to mention with the other mods i had, it was a pretty decent contender out there. so i guess it really comes down to what other supporting mods one has that'll determine the cars exhaust note.

Congrats! But, if I were to take a vote, I'd say to pass on the exhaust and go for a CAI.

I own a 06 RSX-S and have had 4 different exhaust systems on it. Currently installed is an Invidia Q300 (I highly recommend it. Had it on the car for a year now and love it). Also have a Fujitsubo Legalis R system in the basement. Was tired of the loud blat and drone of a lot of the JDM exhausts. Caution on the Spoon header, just as an FYI. It won't fit around your RSX swaybar. Will need to swap for a Civic SI sway!

Intake/header/exhaust

suspension/wheels

stereo system

maybe a tune if you aren't happy with the power increase

enjoy your ride, these cars are getting harder to find in good shape
