Was trying to get an idea on how much this would cost me to repair.
Looks as if the part is $440 dollars from the acura parts website.

Was quoted $932 to do the job. Sounds awful, what do you guys think?

A dealer is going to charge the retail $590 for the compressor plus refrigerant and a couple hours of labor, so $932 sounds about right. An independent shop should be less expensive. The least expensive option would be to find a used compressor and do it yourself. For best results, you will need a vacuum pump to pull all the moisture out of the system before recharging.
