Wind Noise from Side Mirror--anyone else?
My '14 ILX has an annoying wind noise coming from the passenger side mirror. It's like a whistle and is especially annoying above 60mph. It's coming from right near the tweater.
I've tried eliminating the noise by sealing all the seams on the car with painter's tape. am pretty sure the air is coming from under the tip of the fender, but I am having trouble pinpointing what's actually causing the sound.
Has anyone had anything like this? Would a dealer be receptive to such a problem? I have a feeling like it might be a waste of time to go to a dealer with a problem like this due to the amount of time it might take them to diagnose it.
Thanks

Pockets sorry to hear that. Sounds like we have the same problem. I am almost certain that my noise is coming through the passenger mirror. It's a whole lot easier to pinpoint with a passenger listening for the noise. I am going to do a little more testing before I bring it to the dealer, to make sure I can point and say "air is leaking HERE" and mark the spot.

GrafZeppelin127, I never found the source of the problem. I brought it to a dealer and they tried, but could not reproduce it. I think the problem was that it rained the day before I brought it there, and so the window seal was wet. The whistling does not happen when the car is wet.
How about whoever figures it out first, reports back here with the findings?

I am very positive anyone who does get a fix would post the same day. If they don't knowing there are others in the same bind then Id hope the toilet paper rips on them over and over.
