Front lip was a success. Now I need to test drive it once I'm done with this plastidip.

Did the front grill with plastidip smoke and some glossifier.
I honestly didn't like the outcome so I took it off.
I may try again with the anthracite metallic color and some gloss over that. We'll see.

Plastidip wheel kit on it's way. Should be able to work on that this weekend.
Going for this look

Can't wait.

I used 4 oem mounting points. Or what I used as mounting points. Then used the hardware it came with for 3 more spots in the car itself underneath that rubber trim lining the underside.

I'm going to guess it's like this one? I will be honest and say that i'm probably going to steal this mod from you but give you all the credit haha.

I bought it via my phone in an ebay auction. Lots of lipa will fit you just need a similar wheel base and it had to be mounted from the underside. That one is from an 06sti.

With no real lip options I imagined this would be the case. No worries though! Not like it was my idea. I just caught wind of other rsx, tl, and 8th/9th gen civic owners were doing it so I hopped on their bandwagon.

In my opinion the lip doesnt stick out far enough in the front. I may try again with a new lip and mount it infront of that black piece visible under the bumper. Wont sit as low but itll look better I think.

Front lip holding up great.
Plastidip wheel kit has shipped. Currently saving for two sets of spacers... before I start looking anyone know off hand how large of spacers we need to clear the bolts or do our stock 17in premium wheels have space for lugs to fit?
After spacers I'll be retrofitting an intake or piecing together my own with some spectre pieces.

Well it's nice to see some stuff going on with the ILX, coming from the RDX side. I've only had it almost two weeks and put almost 1800 miles on it to date. Very nice work and a good thread to follow. I'll be keeping up with it, and at some point, making it happen for mine. Nice work! I really like your photoshop renderings!

I would get the 10mm spacers with extended studs. Most Acura OEM wheels 2005+ I think are +55 offset. 10mm spacers get your pretty darn flush.

Im not looking to replace the studs. Id rather some drm spacers that just clear them. If our wheels have grooves to fit the studs into safely then no worries. If thats the case ill probably go 20mm... or even 15 if h&r makes 15mm drm spacers

I never scrapped before in the ILX even with the drop. Adding the lip has changed that. But being a 50 dollar lip, I really don't care if I scrape it to hell.

Thanks for the kind words!! Your TL is clean as fawk!

Thank you sir. Im really liking it but I already want something less subtle. haha
But it scrapes now. No issues. I'll smash it until it falls off. But getting something even larger would just get ruined faster.

I think I am going to get that lip as well! It looks really good. Does anyone know the difference between this oen and oem one? I think for the money this is a much better choice than a 400 dollar one from the dealership.

What do you mean by difference?
One is an oem kit that costs like 400bucks.
Looks more like front corner valances than a front lip. Its mounted to the outside/underneath the bumper.

What I did is just a cheap polyurethane lip for a 06 subaru wrx sti. Cost between 50-100 bucks and mounts along the entire front underside.

I hope that answered your question. Im happy with this because it cost the same as the lip for my integra so I dont mind messing it up. My ilx is a lil lower than stock but it only scrapes on my insane driveway.

Love the contrast.
Creeeeeeaam!!
The color would look better on some 19in rotiforms stanced out like crazy.
Just need to wheels stat! Not sure now if I even want to get spacers or just start saving for wheels then I'll have my tax return to spend on something else.

Hmmmm only $50? I might try that in the future when I get bored with my car

And thank you sir! It's far from perfect in person but pictures make it look good

I saw your car on the Acurazine Facebook page yesterday! Dope!

I think 200 could be better spent towards wheels or spacers or an intake for me.
Im just going to get some plugs and touch up paint

I tried the plugs on my brother's genesis and it didn't come out to well...I guess it's alright if you want to get the plate back on, but otherwise not very clean. I will say that they dealer drilled 2 and a half holes (I guess they made a mistake when they originally drilled). So my quote covers smoothing that out too.
