Considering a splitter kit and maybe a grille.
Scheduled a visit to my new factory upon my return from the week long break. The grille will resemble the 4th Gen TL "A" bar grille we already offer but with the correct angles and proportions. The splitter kit will be very simple, but will add a new characteristic to the underside of the ILX.
Window visors, rear window spoiler, and a real front lip would be a great.

Will the splitter be tested for functionality or just for looks?

Looks good! I dont know if its a splitter, but its a good looking lip kit.

Did you guys use factory fasteners to attach the front lip?

Will the 19" LG's shod with 245/30/19's on the H&R spring set be a problem? That's the set up I'm thinking about.

Matters with width and offset. 19s can fit with the h&r as long as they arent too wide with too low of an offset.
Sema ilx was 19x8.5 +45 and spacers with tein advanced coilovers.
Follow the 8.5 +45 without spacers and it should be pretty close to rubbing. Any negative camber will help. 8in wide wheel will fit no doubt

I like the black car at the beginning of this thread. That setup with H&R's, I think, would be nice.

So, the 225's would do without the spacers, correct?

I like the idea of coilovers, but once they are set, I wouldn't be jacking with them. I'd rather save the money and get springs that "will do".

Theyre running 235/35s so you may need a smaller width tire. But without the spacers and if you go 7.5 or 8 instead of 8.5 youll fit still. All a matter of give and take. Ideally you dont want yo go lower in tire or wheel width but you want those 19s to fit.

This chat is confusing me. If I want 18s, what size tire should I get. I'm thinking 18x7.5 +40, will that even look somewhat flush? I want at least a 225 tire.

7.5 is our stock width... I believe. If so than youre only going to see a 5mm difference from stock... throw some 20-25mm spacers on there and youre better but I suggest wider wheels. Judging by the sema ilx 8.5 +45 and spacers isnt flush. Id say 8.0 or 8.5 without spacers and youll want to run a similar spec tire as the sema ilx.

My wheels are 18x8 with a 35mm offset on 225 tires, once the camber is fixed the wheel is almost flush with the fender. I am talking hairline difference.

I will post a picture here in a sec

Yeah, I believe with lowered suspension, a 38-40mm offset on an 8" width, and 225 tires would be the ideal, fail safe spec. For those who want to go 245, then something like a 48mm offset would provide adequate clearance. For those looking for an uber aggressive stance and don't mind rolling fenders or adding camber, +32 with 225 is the limit.

Id venture to say from 40-50. I assume 45 but could be 50 maybe.
