Removing reflextors

Hey all, new to the forum, and Acura world, and need help. My used 2016 ILX got dinged in the parking lot. I got the ding smoothed out, but I need to paint. Anyone know how to remove the reflectors and trim on the back bumper?

easiest way is to remove the rear bumper; which then will reveal the clips that hold in the reflectors...

or you could just lay underneath to look for the clips that hold the reflectors....

I was under the car, removed all the plastic clips to access the spot, removed the one screw that I saw, but it still would not budge. I don't want to damage it by prying, I only see one screw.

There is one screw and 7 tabs (around perimeter) holding them on. You must remove underskirt to access the inside of bumper.
When unclipping tabs, it's easiest to start at the pointed end near the screw (the top 2 are the most difficult). Good luck!

Thank you! I will be working on this tonight. Do the tabs have to be pushed down then I assume? Toward the center of the reflector? Any tricks you can give to help?

The insert is less flexible than the bumper, but I would suggest warming the bumper. If you try to flex a frozen bumper, it will break.
I used a wide bladed screwdriver and placed between the insert tab and the bumper tab and twisted while pressing outward on insert tab.
Here's a close shot to help
