Your car should start no issues regardless of not starting for 4 days.

i dunno man. My battery died the first weekend I bought the car. But no joke , I was the only guy that test drove it for 2 months. Other then moving it to wash it, and my test drive the car pretty much sat there for 2 months. Nobody knew how to drive stick. I got the battery replaced under factory warranty. I would go get it checked ASAP man. This car is new. I could see if the car was older, but really its probably a dead or dying battery OR something else. Just get it checked. In the military we are HUGE on PM - preventive maintenance - you should just play it safe and get it checked/ switched out for free before you get stranded somewhere man.

well, I started it again today without a problem. Maybe the recent start was a little laggy because i kept locking and unlocking the car?

Oh well.

New parts should be coming in next week if everything goes as planned

My diffuser is going to cover most of it so I didn't think it mattered. Plus it was a PITA to find blue titanium tips in this size.

The k series that is already available yes they are.

The new engine come 2016... they already did it for the k24 so Im sure theyll do that one too... so as long as it has a manual option.

I kinda doubt they are gunna make a manual version. The 2.4L ilx's aren't really making sales just like the 6MT version of the tsx's. Pretty sure it'll just come with paddle shifters lol

Imagine if they do away with the manual come 2016. Would make your car that much sweeter... would make the Dynamic awesome to own!!

Id still rather see a 8/9speed DCT 2.0-2.4L though. Throw a turbo in that and Ill be happy.

I agree the ILX is the last car that will come with a manual. After they facelift with a new Model year it's 6spd auto or maybe even 8spd DCT with the premium model, but no more manual. It's been a nice run but that its for the manuals.

On the purely tuning side of things, the wanting every bit of power possible side of me is upset with this.

But the side of me that is... aging... is very happy with where the auto transmission is going with the CVT and DCT. I enjoy a finely done VIP/luxury car more than a race car but that is just me.

Ill still be the 60 year old grandpa mobbin in some sort of lowered 6MT car

but anyways, asking for a turbocharged motor is too much coming from acura/honda. We cant have both style and speed for some odd reason. We begged honda for a turbo motor available in the US and now we are going to be stuck with an ugly ass Civic Type R with some sort of euro styling. but at least its boosted. If anything the ILX will still be the lower end luxury/sport acura offers.

I'm right there with you slammed. I just love the feel of the manual. It still gives the driver control of the car more in my opinion. But to each his own. I can't do automatic honestly I feel bored even if it has paddle shifters that's just me so no one please get offended by that. At least they're looking into getting more power into the car though. That's better then nothing

I laugh because i've had manuals in the past.. this car I still wind up stomping the imaginary clutch pedal when i slam the paddle shifters around.

Fake it til you make it?

Haha. I don't blame you man. I drive my wife's car sometimes and find myself trying to press the clutch down when either trying to take off or slow down

I guess its just what makes us feel important. I got over green light battles a while ago and I cant stand Cali traffic through Studio City, San Fern, and Downtown. Screw that. I have to drive slow anyways so Id rather a nice luxury car while doing it.

The Canadian Dynamic would have been a really hard choice to give up but I didnt have to make that choice so I dont know what I would have chosen. I did go in wanting the 6mt so chances are I would have left with that if it was offered.

i think this may b be my last manual. I like it, but so cal traffic is horrendous, and driving a manual in wall to wall traffic is whack... but for now I enjoy it. Plus by the time I give up this car (5-10 years at least, want to get my moneys worth) I'll be better off finacially and I could go really nice luxury or really sporty. The GTR for example is AUTO (with paddles).... so yeah basically maybe not even an option in the future depending what you are looking at. Paddles are getting a lot better too, so ehhh

Haha I'm driving my uncles 2007 civic with the auto trans and I swear I brake checked like 5 guys reaching for that man pedal.

But I feel you guys, I feel bored as heck driving an auto. I mean it's nice if you HAVE POWER cause I don't mind it in the 335i since it's twin turbo with paddle shifters lol. But when your no where near 300hp with an auto. DEAD.

To each their own. I guess a 300hp manual car doesn't make me happy enough to fork out the extra money and deal with the constant cali traffic with a manual I can't mash on due to the car in front of me.
I will say if I cared that much about a fast manual I would have not bought an ilx... dynamic 6mt or not. There are just better cares suited for that.

When it's turbo well talk but hell the r18s are pushing close to 250hp with a tune a small bolt ons so a tune and turbo I will be right behind your turbo build aaron and quicker than all the 2.4 guys not forking out money for hondata.

No no no... The 335i is 300hp, I'm shooting for 400+ in the ILX. And after some aftermarket camshafts are released I want to be somewhere OP for a fwd.

But now that I'm sitting here wondering why I want to turbo if I'm gunna autocross. I might supercharge since I can get more power at low-mid range. Tsk tsk, we'll see how this goes

small update, threw my stocks on then dropped off my wheels and valve cover at CTE powdercoating for a new color . Also picked up some Skunk2 goods from a friend and ordered new lugs, SSR wheel decals, along with centercaps finally !
