Just leased a beautiful 2016 ILX!!
I do not know if this is the right place to post this, but I am a happy ILX driver right now.
I put down 1000, and have a 309 a month lease for the Premium Package. I feel I got a very good deal. Pix will be included soon. I got the car in Graphite Grey and at first before I saw it in person, I wasn't sure I would like the color. I wanted black or white. When I saw it though, wow it looked beautiful.
I am getting used to the low ceiling on the car though. I am 5'8 and still feel if I sit up completely straight, my head could touch the ceiling.
I am coming from a very old 1998 accord, and back in 2006 I had a 2006 TSX.
So is there anything special I should know about the car? Any secret things I could use inside lol. Any must have added Accessory?
I ordered some Tire Locks from online. Do not want my car on milk crates one day lol
Also, is this car easy to steal? I only ask because you need the key fob to start it.
Thanks guys. New member here

Maybe its because I drive with the seat @ its lowest position, but I'm 6'11" and I have plenty of head clearance.
I agree the car is a 'good deal' especially when you compare it to a Lexus IS250 which starts around 37,000 for a vehicle with less features and less fuel economy. Even BMW 320i/328i's don't far so well compared to a Premium ASpec ILX
Have you noticed that if you you unlock the car with the key-fob and hold the unlock button the windows will automatically go down?

I did not actually. Very good information.
Do you have any recommendation for the audio settings? I have the sub and have it almost at its highest but I am not really feeling the bump I should. Does the system need to be broken in?
Also Acura wants to charge me 380 to tint the car. I feel that is high. Is that a correct assumption?

Congrats!!
How many miles per year is in your lease agreement? Sounds like an awesome deal.
I'll be making the transition from a TSX as well. How is the ILX compared to your TSX?

My lease is for 10,000 a year. I went to the best acura dealership in NY and was told not to worry about the milage so much because they wipe off half of the total if you lease with acura again and sometimes if you don't. Which I have in writing btw lol
It was the 4th of July deal.

Awesome, would love to hear your thoughts on the car in the coming weeks.
I'm going to hit up Acura of Wappingers Falls in NY this weekend to see what kind of lease price they give me. Which dealership did you use in NY?

Yeah the sub is pretty weak. I was under the impression that the rear deck had 3 speakers in it (center sub, and two midrange drivers on the side) but if you pop your trunk you'll realize that's not the case. I guess they reserve that for the TechPlus trim.
I ended up having to max the sub setting and used an app on my phone to help add some psychoacoustic enhancements to augment the frequency range. BBE's SonicMax Pro.
Coming from my 00 civic with a set of descent matched speakers/tweeters, sub, amps and an Audio deck featuring SRS automotive. I definitely missed some of the sound my civic had vs the ILX. But I figure I can always upgrade that later.
From what I hear the ELS system in the tech plus is quite good

Being it being a lease, I won't put money into the system to make it better. Its not bad by any means, but it doesn't have the punch that I really hoped it would. There is a break in period though I am sure.

Also I know you can use an iPhone to get navigation. Is there no way possible to use my galaxy to do this and show up on the screen? Google maps? Etc etc.
The navi was more money a month and didn't feel I needed it. Now of course I want it lol

The navi would have had speakers next to the sub too.

No, the navigation app/system only works with an iPhone. I've had it for a couple of months now and it works great. For someone like myself that only needs the navigation once in awhile, this system saved me a bunch of money.

Yeah thats my only guess.
There is that option for the Remote Start III system which can start your car from like 300yds away and turn on the AC/Heater to 75°
So i guess this is the cheep-o alternative lol

Navi is not on the car already. I assume the same is for the new remodel but the ILX with Navi is the tech ILX only which has a larger screen for navigation. Completely different hardware in the non navi verse ilx with navi.

I have the same dual screen that comes with the tech package.

Aaaaah. So then all 2016 ILX must have the same size screen as my 13 tech. My bad.

It be a lot easier if we had the Factory Service Manual...
yeah I'm gonna bag on that for years until it finally comes out... MUST KNOW ALL THE SECRETS
But then again... were still waiting for the 2013+ Accord one (which at least would show how the DirectInjection engine works...)

as long as you can download the acura nav app yes. that and a hdmi cable and you should be good. remember though youll have to have LTE on it or have it connect to your phone via the hotspot option.
