Introducing RV6 2013+ ILX Bellmouth Downpipe
When the K24Z7 was first introduced, many people were disappointed with the integrated exhaust manifold that made conventional “headers” obsolete. This is especially true since the K-Series platform produced some very impressive performance gains with quality headers. When you look at the O.E precat, you can easily tell it was designed to be made cheaply and to be mass produced. The components are stamped and welded with no consideration for turbulence or restrictions. This combined with 2 catalytic converters, causes the engine to be literally choked out of a good amount of power.
Introducing the RV6 ILX bellmouth downpipe for the 9th generation Civic Si and 1st generation ILX. The RV6 ILX bellmouth downpipe replaces the highly restrictive O.E pre-catalytic and secondary catalytic converters, with a free flowing contoured casting and 2.5” tubing. We also replaced O.E “Donut” style flex gasket with a high quality, full length flex pipe with internal Interlock liner, which will hold up against the worst engine deflections.
We only use the highest quality components from a trusted list of suppliers. The entire RV6 ILX bellmouth downpipe is made of high quality 304 stainless steel. Each weld is TIG welded and back purged for strength and purity by our experienced welders.
On a bone stock 2012 ILX Sedan we gained 13.3WHP and 11.5WTQ on a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer. However we encourage independent testing. We are offering a refund of $120 to the first 5 purchasers of this product that post a high quality dyno plot (no cell phone pictures) clearly showing before and after dyno runs on the same plot of the HP, TQ and A/F. We will also need videos before and after the installation of this part.

This product will be offered in both catted and cat-less. On the catted design we use a 200 cell high flow metallic core. There is small amount of rasp with the cat-less version and the obvious smell outside of the vehicle of running cat-less. However the catted version is free of exhaust rasp and smell.
RV6 has been manufacturing performance precats replacements for the V6 Hondas for around 5 years now. Over that time, we have obtained much experience on how to make performance precats last. Precats are subjected to high temperatures and constant stresses from the deflection of the engine. Which unlike conventional headers that distribute the stresses between several runners, all of the stresses are concentrated in one area.
2nd Gen TSX Version

Great work! I'm glad somebody went ahead and produced a 2.5" part versus the 3" parts that have been flooding the market for this application. The 2.5" part will a) couple with the stock exhaust much better (Btw, do you know how big the stock exhaust is) and b) will mate with after-market exhausts better.
Just curious, has this been confirmed to fit the ILX?

On the Si I believe the exhaust dia is 2.37" so this downpipes mates up well with the stock exhaust.
If there is enough demand 15-20 people we will make it.

We did a comparison of part numbers and its seems that Civic Si and ILX are pretty much identical underneath. However I no one has tested this part yet on a ILX. I actually haven't even seen on in person yet.

of course they'd make it fit, RV6 has never had an issue with fitment/ripping off customers...they engineer there parts very well. They also ensure complete customer satisfaction. Price would likely be the same as what they're charging for the Si's downpipe.

RV6, are you going to be making an exhaust for the ilx? I checked everything between this car and the si sedan and the only difference is the exhaust tip. If you make a tip that bends downward to clear the bumper, that'd be perfect...sort of like this:

rv6- Please create a full midpipe/exhaust combo to go with this.
I think I can speak for most of the ILX owners that we would prefer something a lot quieter than our civic si counterparts.
Perhaps a hytech twinloop exhaust? or a twin muffler design that has a pointed down tip similar to stock, please please pretty please!!

Do you know if the r18 and the r20 share the same dimensions in terms of the downpipe? I noticed there was interest on another car forum for a downpipe for the r18, just curious if it'll work on both platforms.

A company currently makes a dp for the R18 and it makes 8hp/10tq. Id think it would make ample power in the R20. In the mean time I'll be looking for it online. It's on the tip of my tongue but I drawing a blank. I remember. It was Weapon-R. Megan Racing lists one now too.

Looks like there is a sale on these from now until 12/3. I'd strongly urge everyone to pick them up now since the sales are far and few between.

Does this count for an eDyno? And, I can get before and after videos!

What I'm wondering is where all these new Users are finding these 2013/2014 2.4 6-Speeds.
I'm thinking about trading in my 2016 for a 2013/2014 6-Speed and I can't find a Single One in California.
My plan is to get rid of the "Un-Modable" 2016 and get a 2014 with a Turbo or Supercharger Kit and Hondata or K-Pro.

Youll want to check if Hondata ever released support for the 2015. To my knowledge I know they supported the 13/14 at the same time but not sure if they ever hit the 2015 model year. Sadly something as small as 1 year matters to the picky robot we call the ECU.
I found two in Cali for ya.

Seem to be similar deals. You can get into one with 38k miles or pay an extra $3,200 for 16,500 less miles.

Thanks John! How did you find those?? I'd be looking for a 2013/2014 NOT a 2015 because of the ECU support as mentioned.
What website did you use? I'm in NorCal.
Not that driving to SoCal would be out of the question. Especially if it's a great deal. But I'd like to find something near SF Bay Area if possible.
EDIT: I like how the two you found were "Polished Metal". Who likes that POS color?
