So i took the car to the dealer to have the front bumper painted, before i dropped it off i installed a febreeze vent freshener and left the car with them, 4 days later i pick up the car, the lady tells me i have good new and bad news....good news your bumper looks great, bad news your air freshener leaked and messed up your car, luck for me it was on their watch so they are replacing under warranty...i want to scream!!!!!!!
the liquid dripped and burnt the paint and melted the plastic!

So... yeah they're replacing it and you're suing for what? Emotional distress? Pain and suffering? Be happy the dealer is fixing it (good on them for that! although completely not their fault)
at suing..

I'm still scratching my head as to why the dealer is stepping up unless somehow they damaged the freshener and caused the leak. Maybe just phenomenal service and that's it?
Who is your dealer?

Are ppl really surprised that chemicals damage things?
Should be happy dealer is stepping up since i put 100% blame on you and 0% on febreeze.
Don't make threads about complaining because ppl will always bash you for it.

Lucky your dealer is going to fix it. Shit I never knew a dealer would just dish out money for something so stupid.
Next time take it out of the car, it's 100% your fault, be glad you don't live in my area, they would have laughed at you. Since you're in Florida and an hour away from Pembroke Pines I'm guessing maybe you went to Pembroke Pines Acura, if so I could see why the would cover the cost.

I have been using those for a few years now. Thankfully, I have not had an issue with them. Maybe I will move it to a less obvious location, just in case I get a leaker.
When it comes to air fresheners, all I can think of is Tommy Boy.
"Went a little heavy on the pine tree perfume there, kid."

It's best to avoid all liquid air fresheners.
I mean, if the manufacturer's MSDS has warnings about skin contact or inhalation, why would it be a surprise that it can cause damage to your car's interior?

Personal Precautions:
Avoid contact of fragrance with skin and eyes. Wear rubber gloves. Provide maximum ventilation in the area of the spill to disperse vapors.
Skin Contact:
Moderately irritating to the skin. Prolonged / repeated direct contact with fragrance oils may result in skin sensitization.
Inhalation:
Prolonged high level exposures may cause slight drowsiness, headache and / or mild respiratory tract irritation.
