LOL

I originally just wanted to laugh at the fact that this brand new high end car already has duplicates meeting on the road. Ive driven next to an ILX in PMM maybe twice which to me is more understandable at a 26-30 thousand dollar car but for the Vette. Id be pissed if the same on rolled up next to me. hahaha

Then one of them had to go be a jack ass on film. Awesome. ahaha

100 points to whoever knows what I am quoting in the video.

Youtube now... Stabilized and trimmed.

And Timmy, I can only wish I made those videos. I used to laugh so hard at GroupX when I was younger. Shifty-Five... I Just Want BangBangBang, Peanut... UGH. hahaha I'm laughing just thinking about how stupid they are.

Started with End of the World which got really popular back in the Ebaum's world days. "Fucking Kangaroos!... Right oh."

Rant: Haven't driven the TSX (or anything) in 2 months. Mom is complaining about the transmission (She says it's a shaking/ shuddering vibration) and I know it's the transmission because it's long overdue it's flush. I also know it's the trans because when the vibration occurs at any steady speed if you use the Sport shift and down shift a gear it goes away and is as smooth as butter. Acura told her that the fluid was dirty and needed to be replaced almost a YEAR ago when we had it in for the ECU corrosion recall. She denied the service because it would cost almost $1,500 even after the Tech and I told her that is cheaper than $4,000 to replace/ rebuild it. I know you guys don't like me saying this bu my mom can be a real pain sometimes.

Anyway, I bring this up because I should be able to start driving again next Wednesday but she said "The car is messing up" and told me no. And when she told me the vibration this (which it has been doing for the lat 2 years, hello dirty fluid) I just started to boil. How can people be told about an issue with their car, then ignore the cheaper option to just fix it just because they think they can not fix it and get away with it??

That STUPID shit is what I cannot deal with. And total that with 2 losses from school last week (One I was sorta close with), and this damn foot and some bullshit drama revolving around immature people and relationships (Whole other story) I just cannot.

Hate to say it, but if the trans in the TSX goes.. I can't fix it and will not put a penny down to help her. She has and had the money at the time, she should have got it done.

Also, the brake fluid was also dirty. We'll see how that turns out. I'm looking for the pic of the service report, I know I took one. There was a lot of red "Neeeds immediate attention" stuff. Tires, brakes, trans, brake fluid, ect. Tires and brakes was the only things done, 7 months after.

Rave?: I get my K-Wires pulled out Wednesday and SHOULD be told to start partial weight bearing. This is also the day mom SHOULD start letting me drive. But read the above again. Also, foot swelling is gone down. Just fat toes is all I have left. The scabs on the incisions ache time to time from the gauze and seeping fluid gluing together and moving around but oh well.. And yes I have washed it (just water can't use soaps yet or put it under water)

Also, sorry for sounding like the little bitch I am. I just hate when people cause bigger problems and that has been happening a lot lately.

No idea how it happened. The scab was even liquefied. Went ahead and washed it and snapped a few pics.

I went and got antibiotics today. It's not as bad as we thought but it can spread to the bone and then I get to have a 2nd surgery to remove said bone. Hopefully I can just keep cleaning it as directed and the antibiotics will do their thing.

It could definitely be worse. I'm doing well so that's ok.

I decided to pass on the 1950 chevy.

Post it in the general car talk section and see what the NeoAcura haters think.
we'll love it because its not made by Honda.

we're only NeoHaters because we know what Honda can do, and in its current form HONDA SUCKS ASS!

if they had Timmy on the designing team, we would LOVE HONDA!

Oh you aren't fooling anyone. We all know if they were handed a 5g with no overhang, quad tips, and it came with a better neighborhood everyone would still say it's no 3g. :o

Dont get me wrong me too!!

I agree with another user in saying it should have rear seats even if they are pointless. Brings insurance rates down.
The cabin could be made SLIGHTLY longer extending forward more. Little less engine bay room but couple inches more rear seat space.

RAVE: Had my K-wires removed today. Felt like a fork scraping on a plate inside my foot (gave me the sensation all over also) and like the dentist using the metal hook extremely hard. this was because of the metal being pulled out of bone, which completely covered up my tissue irritation with the gross chill it gave. As soon as a wire came out, so did a steady stream dark red of blood :/ The foot is at so much ease though, its a bit more willing to move and flex now too.

But it's ok. I got to take my 4 wires home and I'm allowed to bear as much weight as the foot will allow (without pain) but I have to use a cane or a crutch just encase. Gotta start gradually.

Rant: I should be able to start driving soon, so I thought. Apparently it is illegal in North Carolina to wear a boot while operating a motor vehicle (so what about single people without friends or family who still need to get around?) but I only need the boot when I'm walking soooooo.... ??? Not sure. The boot goes on and off in just seconds.. I know that if I can fit a shoe comfortably on my foot then I can drive, which I now should be able to with the little swelling I have and lack of things protruding, but I like to security of the boot plus I'm not allowed to bear weight in anything other than the boot. Oh and if I'm in an accident regardless of whose fault it's automatically mine! (But is that while wearing the boot hmmmmmm?)

It has been since Aug.20th that I have driven. Not good for my health!

No immediate post photos of the wires being pulled out so no blood to be seen (phone was dying) but I did get a pic of my Xrays and wires in before it shut down.

Rant:
Why can't companies take picture of their own inventory anymore? Everyone uses stock photo for advertising and some of these newer companies, when I say new I mean ignorant, aren't advertising exactly what they are selling.

Example. I see dealers posted ads for the ILX constantly on instagram. It's annoying. Especially when the same stock photo are used time and time again.

Yesterday a post was made for a 0 down 259 monthly lease. The picture however had the premium or tech hybrid as it had fog lights and the hybrid grill. So this would seem to be a better deal than a base ilx for that price which is normal.
I message them and low and behold it is not a hybrid or even a premium ilx but the base they are trying to sell.

Is that false advertising? Bait and switch? They advertise a higher end ilx with 17in wheels, fogs, and body aesthetics that would lead one to believe the car is of a higher trim level then they offer the real deal when you arrive. 16in split spoke base wheels no fog lights and if you knew what the hybrid air dams looked like then you miss out on a few grand worth of tech including the entire hybrid factor.

This would be avoided if they actually took a pic of the car they want to sell.

RANT: Wrecked the TSX today... for the whole story and complete coverage read here.

The Temple of VTEC - Honda and Acura Enthusiasts Online Forums > General Talk > > Re: Wrecked my (moms) TSX tonight...

Looks like I'll be looking for a SECOND job on top of my current 9-10 hour shift job. I'm in close to $2,600 for new parts and labor on both the TSX and the '98 Accord LX that I hit.

Timmy, glad you're okay.
like some one else posted at temple, its just a minor fender bender.

Dont know if I need to say it; but will anyway. pay attention and dont assume!!!!!!!

and also begs the question; why no full coverage?
you would have only been out; depending on deductible, $500 or $1000.

Rave: We have full coverage and I don't think there is a big deductible to pay or the premium will go up too much. Relieved for now...

And yeah I was distracted and not paying attention. My and my cousin were in a serious conversation and I travel through this light 3 times a day usually and am always able to turn right on red (Most people here go when they get the chance) but this guy just sat there and it was just me talking and look for on coming cars vs looking at the car still in front of me. Like we were already stopped but he edged up after a gap of cars opens up so I thought he done drove off so I let off the brake and right when I did he got back on his and the things crunched up. I had no reaction time since my head was still turned.

Long story short...

Purchased coils for the 2013 ILX. OEM bolt needed for install do not fit the ISC brackets.

I have contacted the AZINE vendor I purchased through as well ISC support with pics and explanation as to why the suspension for this car wont fit this car.
We'll see what happens.

For the record the rears fit perfectly fine.

They probably assumed it fit just like the Civic. bet those are same as the Civics. But even the civics are slightly different year to year in the front suspension. There are pics on 9th gen civic of different underbracing fitting a 2013, and then matching up same piece on a 2014, but its off. I really suspect this is why some of the ILX's have had noise issues. Fitment for certain suspension parts was probably sourced to different vendors, and they all came out just a little different...

Well the suspension is in the box and Im waiting for a response from XLR8. I dont expect them to check my email until Monday morning so we'll take it from there.

Ultimately I would love to send the part in for one that actually fits the ILX, as this one is advertised to fit on XLR8s shop and on the box the suspension came in so XLR8 has done everything correct so far as they arent to blame. If I get a full refund for the part not fitting as advertised than all will be 100% with XLR8 and my gripe will only be with ISC not doing the proper R&D on a suspension piece before pushing it to market.

The instructions I found on-line for a Civic read the front bolts are 17/19. This was found to be incorrect. So had those been the correct bolt sizes then the suspension would have indeed fit and I wouldnt be left with the headache of trying to now get a refund. As I said Id love for the suspension to be made to work by ISC but I dont see that happening.

Now the battle for a refund.

Hopefully it goes smoothly being that they are an acurazine vendor.

I am currently being told by an Azine vendor, XLR8, that they will not offer me a refund because I already attempted to install the coilovers and they would need to be able to re-sell them as new.

THEY DONT FIT. YOU CANT SELL THEM AS NEW.

I am applaud this is the business ethic from an acurazine vendor.

I paid for a part that does not fit the car advertised to fit and now they wont refund me because I TRIED to install the part they said would fit.

That's bullshit, it's sad you have to wait for someone to buy and guinnea pig a product only to find out it doesn't fit as advertised. Now I know never to spend a single penny there or here. Hope something works out for you.
