Question 2016 ILX A-spect/tech Road Noise?

I just wanted to know if getting better tires would reduce the road noise in my 2016 ILX? So far I have 11,500 miles, bought in Feb 2015 and took it with me while stationed in Korea. Thank goodness no accidents with this car there when driving from Pyeongtaek to Seoul. I noticed my car's road noise is more noticeable compared to my friend's dad 2010 BMW 328i. My car came with continental tires, but I'm not very knowledgable in this car specifics thing, would you recommend changing out the tires to a higher line of continental tires or are there better and quieter tires out there? Please recommend, don't worry about price

the road noise is definitely noticeable on the ilx, even with it's so called noise reducing wheels. As for the tires, I've entertained the idea of changing those out if it would make the ride quieter, but I've realized that's not really going to help much. I would recommend some of that dynamat or other noise reducing material in the cabin

The stock Continental ContiProContact are horrible. They're very loud and don't provide much traction at all. I swapped over a set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus from my other car with 30k miles on them and the noise dropped by a good amount, probably 4-5 db. The Serenity has the same dry traction as the new ContiProContact (less than 1k miles). My top two choices are the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. The Michelin are louder but you can get them at almost any tire store. I would avoid Continental and go with Michelin, Bridgestone, or Pirelli. You can also go with a 225/45ZR18 or 215/45ZR18 size tire for a bit better ride quality. Your speed will be lower by 1-2mph at 70mph if you do go with a bigger tire.

Maybe I'm getting use to it now, but I notice the road noise now bothers me less? Not sure if its also because I got new Acura Diamond cut wheels? I know that wouldn't matter much but in my mind it seems to be.

I think the Diamond cut wheels are also half an inch wider then the stock wheels... which can help reduce noise and maybe even increase comfort and increase contact patch... not positive, but pretty sure its slightly wider... you can google it... go too wide or too big of a wheel, then road noise can increase, or contact patch can be so wide that it actually decreases grip, especially on wet surface... but you are looking at 9+ inches wide for that to happen.... I think the diamond cut wheels are 7.5... could be bigger
