Lightbulb Dual Exhaust ILX? What do you think?

Got a little bored so I thought I'd try to photoshop (very badly) a 2019 ILX with dual exhausts.
What do you guys think?

For those wondering, from what I've read here and there, dual exhausts aren't too easy to do on the 9th gen Civic chassis because of the fuel tank location. Not saying it's entirely impossible though, in fact I could be completely wrong.

would be interested in an angular tipped exhaust...
round tips does not fit the rest of the car...

would be cool if someone could photoshop, perhaps the new mid-engine corvette tips?

Yo, that's awesome! Did you have a shop custom fab the set-up for you? And was there any difference with the sound?

I agree, I can see how it looks a little out of place. But it still looks better (in my opinion) than the single exhaust tip! I tried to photoshop (again very badly ) 2020 C8 tips on. What do you think? Personally I think it looks pretty awesome and definitely looks more aggressive.

it also looks good because of your sense of proportions! great job on placing them in a way that looks fantastic!

Did it all myself, learned to TIG weld off youtube as I made it. Yes it sounds different, and adjustable as well. https://acurazine.com/forums/ilx-pho.../#post16116163

Not a fan of C8 tips as they're too upright and have too much space between the adjacent tips.

How about a photoshop with some angled quad AMG tips instead?

yea, or Acura could just go back to using the angular TL 3G exhaust tips? Those were awesome. why they moved away from those was always a mystery to me...

I did it because 4 speakers sound better than 1, even when playing the same music.

Following that analogy, if you're not changing the amp, you now just have 4 under-powered speakers!

I learned it with AM dash speaker, and if you add a reverb to the rear speaker... so I made the crossover an expansion chamber.

Atleast it isn't the "one in the middle", Civic style outlet.

Quads are a bit much and makes it looked riced up, but I like the dual tips. The single pea-shooter from behind makes this car look like it's got a wimpy little 140hp 1.8L in it.

Indeed, the same powertrain is in the base TLX and prior TSX's, and those all got dual tips (or no tips at all). So clearly it's not because they thought a single tip was sufficient for the power it put down, and as another poster mentioned, there's clearly enough space for another muffler/outlet on the other side. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in the heads of their designers

Hey,
The design looks dope!
If you don't mind me asking, how much did this cost and where did you get the pieces?

I assume you are asking me since I'm the one that did it in real life, not photoshop.
I bought a pile of pipe from stainless steel headers (probably could have shopped cheaper).

A mid pipe muffler from stainless steel works https://stainlessworks.net/chambered-round-mufflers
Where the first stock muffler is next to the gas tank I put a Varex muffler https://xforceusa.com/varex-mufflers/
Built my own crossover, which is also an expansion chamber instead of using a 'Y'

Stuck it all together.

For a total of 1200 bucks. With the Varex in street mode, it's slightly quieter than stock. In race mode it is louder but not deafeningly and deeper than stock and has the wonderful burble and pop on deceleration.

By the way, the tips are angle cut.
