Drivers' Side Wiper Blade Loses Contact When it Snows
Has anyone else had this problem? I've never had it with any of the other 4 cars I've owned over the years. It's now happened twice in two snowstorms.
Whenever it snows, the lower half of the drivers'-side wiper blade arches up and completely loses contact with the windshield, creating all sorts of havoc when driving either while it's still snowing or with dirty/salty highway splatter and washer fluid. No matter how much I clear all the snow and ice from the blade assembly, or even take the blade off and bring it inside to thaw (as I did last night), it still arches up and becomes wholly ineffectual.
This strikes me as a very dangerous design flaw, unless I'm missing something or doing something wrong.

Burning Brakes
Something is wrong. I don't drive an ILX, but I know wipers are not supposed to work that way. Arm could be out of alignment, or the blade is defective.
