No, it's not. I also have a 2016 and I personally think it's the best looking iteration of the beak.

It would require bumper and headlight change, but, it will "fit".

well, essentially not if the whole front end has to be replaced, too/

Really comes down to, how much do you want it. It wont need major skills to 'make' it fit, just parts and wrenches, unlike rear wheel drive.

Buying a whole new front end... would be cheaper to just sell your car and get the '19 model. You'd also need to change the back end otherwise it won't match and I think that would look even worse.

I agree; the amount of work, time, money, OCD fitment makes it worth to just trade in for the new design if you really like it that much

i really like the 2019 model, but it doesn't make sense fiscally as i own my 2016 a-spec outright. i'm not down to buy another car right now.

This guy is doing it on TLXs...maybe there is something someone can come up with for the ILX? https://www.instagram.com/boss02126/

It seems like you just buy the diamond pentagon grille and emblem then cut the grille to fit the old surround trim. Maybe there is more to it?

It looks like this guy is just using a similar material for his grill replacement. But it's the same original shape. I don't see the big deal. Also, if you actually did somehow fit the new diamond pentagon grill in there, wouldn't it have the CMBS radar sensor cover in the emblem? On the 16 ILX the sensor is sort of hidden below the beak. How would you move it and recalibrate it to the new location?

The beauty is; If you want it bad enough, there's always a way. A coping saw and superglue can do wonders, but I like the look of my '16 A-spec+ better.
