I can't seem to get my 2016 Tech Plus Aspec to do a double kick down. I've tried pulling the downshift lever twice to go from 4th to 2nd going around 35mph and it won't go to second until it switches to 3rd first. The same thing happens when I tried to go from 5th to 3rd. The guy in the video shows the double kick down working around the 4:20 mark. Acura also talks about the double kick down feature towards the end of the 2016 ILX press release. Has anyone here successfully tried it? I can't seem to do with in D or S.

have you read the owners manual?

I can confirm this will depend on how fast you are going when downshifting 2 gears.

If you are going say 100km/hour it won't let you shift from 4th to 2nd.

The gear you are trying to select will flash when this occurs.

Do The ILX come in manual? If so, go return yours and get it !!! You won't be sorry !

Yup but there is nothing in the manual about it.

I was going as fast as the guy in the video when he went from 4th to 2nd. 35mph would be about 55kph. 1st gear goes to 40mph so i shouldn't have any problem going to 2nd at 35mph. Have you tried skipping a gear when you downshift by pulling the paddle shifter twice rapidly?

They killed the manual for the 2016 ILX.
