Hi folks,

Does anybody know step-by-step to remove the ILX 2017 center console ?

I have a 2016 and I just did this today. I'm thinking the 2016 and 2017 exactly the same. I found a place for the service manuals and downloaded them from online. It's $10 for all day access so I made the investment and downloaded a bunch of pdf files I thought that I would use throughout my ownership of the car. It was fairly simple once I figured it out.

Take a look at the attachments. If you can't figure out from that let me know and i'll try to make a quick how to video, however it wont be today. I thought about making the video as I was doing it AFTER I did everything and it was TOO HOT to go back and get my camera and do it all over again. I have some other pdf's for the car too. Can I know where you found the service manual ? I'm tinkering with the ILX CAN bus now and I'm looking the Msg ID. Perhaps, the FSM will have some clues.

I also just uploaded a bunch of files to the sticky thread, but I didn't have anything on the can bus. If you happen to find the files, be sure to save it and add it to the sticky so others who have your question in the future can access it as well.

Thanks, I actually I found it earlier and paid 10 bucks to get what I need. Thanks again. What I was looking for removing the audio panel. I was confused by the center console term but it's okay I have found it. Now about the CAN bus, it's tricky thou because it doesn't specify the ID. I've just found the wiring. This wiring leads me to debugging the VSA and PSM modules. Gotta spend time with it and try to pry on the console first. Reverse engineering the message is not easy.

Okay, thanks for the clue. I've got the radio pulled off as well with the glove box. It's weird that Acura Glove box comes as one panel. However, based from the FSM, I was able to pull everything out by myself. Now you're asking the project, basically just reverse engineering the CAN message, simple like open and close the window and lock/unlock the door. It takes time and patience to look at the stream. I have found out today that

Msg ID 374 8 bits message : 46 0 0 C 0 0 0 0 --> Door Status
Msg ID 374 8 bit message: 46 0 0 C C9 0 0 0 --> Brake + Push Message to Start

This can be found from your instrument cluster. I've got bunch of packages stream coming in. I still don't know what they are. FSM doesn't give me any clue of this. If you can point me for better direction that would be awesome!
