2019 ilx premium with aspec package

what is the best price people have been getting not including tax and tags. no doc fees in my area. I was told the invoice was 29543 including color charge (red) and destination.

schen72 03-30-2019 07:08 PM

For Premium with ASPEC, the invoice is actually $29,164 (including destination). I guarantee you can get below invoice pricing, before TTL. I would shoot for around $27.5k to $28k.

kipsy 03-31-2019 11:45 AM

good to hear. the red is 500 upcharge. I offered 27500 and 28 and wasn't successful. this was Saturday, end of march. both closest dealers have the red aspec in stock.

Where are you located? According to cargurus.com a great price is around $26K, though I’m not sure how this is calculated (2019 models only? 2018 models included? Etc.)

Prior to 2019 there was no upcharge on colors, so I guess that red is a special red.

 What did they say?

kipsy 04-01-2019 10:57 AM

They said no, they want an offer where they won’t lose money

synxack 04-01-2019 12:35 PM

I've been trying to buy for the last 2 months as well. Right now Acura is pushing the lease. They had a 2750$ Factory to dealer incentive on new leases only. If you were to lease you could get it welllllll below invoice but right now buyers like myself are getting shafted. All we can do is wait my friend and hope Acura starts offering better rebates to the dealerships.

kipsy 04-01-2019 03:59 PM

thanks for confirming.

Maybe because the 2019s just came out and because of the refresh they think demand will increase? Hmm. If you wait a while I bet they will change their tune. But always have other cars as backup to buy. Don't set your heart on one car only.

Very possible. There is definitely a shortage of ILX's out there in comparison to the TLX that came out 4 or 5 months before it. ILX didn't hit dealerships til Novemberish. Don't know about demand though. Been watching the inventory at my local dealerships. They aren't moving. Even with just a short handful in stock, the same ones have been sitting there for more then a couple months. I've been watching the vin numbers. Some have been sitting there since Jan/Feb. The TLX/RDX are stealing all the limelight. Hopefully Acura will make adjustments to get these things moving as inventory slowly increases.

They must be moving some, since sales of the ILX are up 40%+ for March 2019 compared to 2018.

True, I saw those same numbers. Was a surprise to me. Maybe they just aren't selling in my region. IDK. The closest dealership to me has the same three ILX aspec with premium since i started looking in Feb. One a bit further than me still has the one exact match to what I want (color and stuff) that was on their show floor in Feb and they added another one with exact same config last month. Both are there. I'm worried they will sell before buying incentives become available. So many people lease these days. :(

That's why I think they will change their tune pretty soon and be willing to deal. Everyone knows the ILX is an old design and while the 2nd refresh does make it look better, it's not much a change from the 1st refresh. If you really NEED a car, then you might have to suck it up or find a different car. When I've bought my cars, I didn't actually need one at the moment. So I could wait 6 months or more for them to adjust to reality.

Leasing is such a waste of money. But I understand how it gets people into more expensive cars. It's like when you see someone balling in a high end BMW. If they lease, it means nothing. You can be middle class and easily lease one. Of course, after 3 years you have nothing to show for it. The salesperson at my local Acura dealer told me they don't get that many leases because those people usually prefer to lease a German car. People around here who buy Acuras do so because it's more value than a German car. But yeah, if I was leasing, I'd also lease something German and unreliable!

hahaha aint that the truth. Dealerships love getting people trapped in the 3 year buying cycle. And once your in it, its so hard to get out of. You've lost all of your bargaining power. You're on a timer, they can impose any fee they wish, those tires are more than 50% warn, the break pads need to be replaced.... we can wave all that of course if you lease THIS new car over here at MSRP today and only today. Oh by the way, want to buy out the car? Yea your going to pay to have us to certify it to get new car financing rates. No thanks. Sounds like a nightmare.

kipsy 05-26-2019 09:18 AM

picked up a red aspec for invoice last week, also received all season mats and a 500 discount using acura finance and refinancing to 3.5% this week.

MegaManILX 05-29-2019 04:37 PM

Congrats on the ride! Sounds like you got a killer deal!

synxack 06-05-2019 10:43 AM

Finally pulled the trigger. I did not get a great deal. I ran out of time and needed a car and wanted this one and I did the best I could SO this is was the best I could do given the "market conditions":

2019 ILX Premium w/ Aspec Dark Grey, Red Interior

28,300 (inc destination) for the car,
400 for Gap Insurance ( I never buy this but he took over 50%+ off so I sprung)
400 for accessories All weather floor matts, wheel locks, "Security code", ya da ya da (They marked this down 60% off what they were pushing for it. Tried to get them to take it all off and they said they "couldn't" expect for the all weather matts)
80 doc fee
~2400 sales tax
~400 registration/tags

OTD just under 32k Financed at 3.94% for 72 months. No trade in, No down payment.

Sticker on the Car was 31,500, Invoice 29,650 before factory addons
