oil leak(pics) help with locating issue


I’m getting an oil leak by the front motor mount on the left side of engine. trying to figure out what you guys think it might be ?

valve cover gasket perhaps?

It could possibly be a leaky o-ring (#15) around the Front Camshaft Thrust Cover Assembly (#6) on the link below:

OP. Take the plastic covers off. Spray the whole area with brake cleaner until it's nice and clean then take her for a drive and recheck to see where the leak is coming from. You can keep the plastic covers off to make inspection easier.

Dipstick tube lower O-Ring is common leak - and will make a mess all the way across to the transmission.
Will appear as several leaks from everywhere at a glance.

One 10mm mounting bolt on its bracket - hidden in with serpentine tensioner mounting bolt .
[location circled in Red]

Clean lower entry area very well BEFORE removing dipstick tube.
[circled in Green]

I also use silicone above the new O-Ring , on the tube.
After it is installed and bolted , smear another bead of silicone around the entry area.
Let it dry as long as you can wait - preferably overnight.
