2000 TLP, 292K miles, 3rd transmission (~85K per) - that with 3x3x3 flush every 15K.
Putting on 1200 miles/mo.
Paint is getting really bad; typical Acura clear coat failure.

Mine had 188k when I traded it in. I miss it, but that was the best decision I made with that car.
I'd probably be at 270k if I still had it. I put 40k on my Speed3, and 46k on my current car.

i'm almost on 184k now that i've read this post 2 months after you posted it XD.
I used to do 500 miles a week but my college classes are out so i'm not driving as much. I actually got pulled over for the first time since i got my license (2 years ago now) and it was for no reason actually...
i also had a ball joint break on me at 55mph a few weeks ago but its repaired and i had a couple other parts replaced. My 03 tl s seems to be running pretty well now that all my stuffs fixxed up. I had suspension issues for the longest time (my car has a repaired title and has had it since i bought it ).

I have an 01' TL 3.2. Bought it just before the new year at 143K. It now has just under 155K. Outside of a few minor issues it runs great. Hopefully with this site I can keep it that way. Few minor issues are rust on the right side rear wheel well, light out in the in dash clock, drivers side leak every time it rains coming from sunroof drain line. looks like a section of hose that drains water outside of car is missing. Tapes get stuck in radio and some fit and trim issues with the rear door panels.

Also, what is your opinion on replacing the third and fourth gear pressure switches? Thanks

Transmission went @197k.
Keep the oil and transmission fluid changes regular intervals. If we make the decision to keep the car we'll do the belt service and address ball joints. May even do a repay on the paint. After 15 years and 300K it deserves it.

In 702, 808 in Dreams
just turned 171K miles. got it with 43k back in 05. on second trans at 68K and been running like a champ ever since. The trick is to keep the trans fluid clean and fresh. I had an oil cooler added as well to keep the temps down. I know its a never ending thing for our trans to go but so far so good. I used Amsoil ATF and it was the best thing I did for it. I change 3 to 4 quarts every other oil change. 3rd and 4th gear switches are changed at about 40 to 50k. As our cars get older the more you have to pay attention to the trans. the more you baby it the longer it will last.

Bought my 2003 new. Now has 193K. I just spent last winter rebuilding the transmission and just re-installed it last weekend. Seems to run fine now. This was my first auto trans rebuild so I didn't know what to expect. Apparently there was nothing to expect.
I did read the post here by the guy who rebuilt his trans and so I had an idea of what I was getting myself into. It gave me more courage than insight - but sometimes that is enough.

Nice Job I have a 2000 accord with the BAXA and It needs the transmission built, I have the rebuild kit, the full sonnax / shift kit updates and bench buddy brushes/etc. I'm still not excited to try my first, but glad to hear you did well, lol.

214k on 1999 TL-P original everything, small power steering pressure line leak. It uses a lil oil.. Went from halfway mark on dipstick to basically dry in 650 miles.. Too much VTEC I suppose

Good luck. Take your time. Enjoy the process.

I have around 188,000 on my '02 TL-S. I had a scare with the transmission behaving very badly, but after four drain and fills (spaced out a week apart) it has been shifting normally. My only complaint is it seems like no matter what I do, the brakes end up pulsating.
ODPS sensor is faulty, and it probably the first real important thing that has broken on the car.

Just passed 177k. On second tranny.
First one blew out on a long trip so I "limped" to the closest dealer. They replaced it the next day with a new aftermaket one to the tune of $3,200. My wallet still has PTSD!

1.) ALWAYS torque your lugnuts properly, never fully tighten with impact gun.
2.) Drive easy on them for the first 500 miles, THEN bed them in with a few good hard stops. Dont do it right away. Give the rotors/metal time to cycle.

Yea, give me the keys to your highly abused from sitting around collecting dust R-Spec. Do your tires even have teh round shape or are they permanently flat spotted

Never had warped rotors on the TL in over 600k miles of driving, including all my lapping days.

My '99 TL ticked over 200,000 one month ago. That's when I discovered the fuel tank leak. I visited this site looking for information about various issues I wanted to address. I now have the entire suspension torn off, the exhaust removed, and the rear subframe removed.
I'm replacing the fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel pump, entire EVAP Emission system, fuel line, fuel return line, and fuel vent line, entire exhaust system with Manzos Headers, new catalytic converter, new Bosch O2 sensors, Truebendz stainless 2.5" pipes, Magnaflow stainless 2.5" mufflers and exhaust tips. Also new KYB AGX shocks with Eibach springs, Eibach front and rear sway bars, camber adjusting top rear links, new parking brake shoes and hardware, new rear brake pads and rotors, RL KB1 front calipers w/ HT-Spec kit from HealToe, new brake lines, new front upper and lower control arms w/ camber adjustment upper ball joints, new front spindles and hubs, new steering rods, and lots of new hardware to replace rusted fasteners.

About 207.5k on her! About 80k on the '07 Honda AV6 trans.
Runs and looks like new, except it makes me sad that the driver side is starting to sprout some rust along the bottom of the door!!

I think it's related to your personal driving conditions. That's why it varies so much. Some think that riding the brakes down a hill, heating up the brakes real good and stopping at a light and sitting can cause it. I guess holding the brakes while hot, some material transfers to the disc. Who really knows. It's been hit and miss on all my cars.

2000 TL.
170K miles.
Transmission replaced in 2006 December.
I try to do regular maintenance but haven't done anything with the transmission fluid in about 5 years :-(
Runs fine but is requiring about $1500 per year in repairs.
Paint is fading on the top and the trunk. The hood and rest of the car is still okay.
