Ideas for New Rims

I’m in the market for some new rims due to the lovely events that took place here:
https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...65-mph-972446/

For the record, I currently have Motegi Racing MR107 (18"x 8") (+42 offset) with stock suspension, no spacers, and I don’t have any plans of lowering anytime soon. If I do lower my car in the future, then it would be tasteful (with coilovers) and not slammed with camber (not my style).

I want to keep a 5-spoke 18" or 19" rim while entertaining a black and silver combination. Here are a few options that I am considering (Most recommended tire packages with 18” rims are 235/40/18):

1) Vision 469 Boost Gloss Black with Machined Face – (18” X 8”) (+38 Offset)

2) Vision 469 Boost Satin Black (18” X 8”) (+38 Offset)

3) Touren TR73 3273 Black with Milled Accents (18” x 8”) (+35 Offset)

4) KMC KM685 District (18”x 8”) (+38 Offset) OR (19” x 8.85”) (+42 Offset)

5) Mach ME1 Satin Black (18”x8) (+35 Offset)

Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Josh

The replica BBS wheels would look better than any of the wheels you're looking at.

I'm onboard with Patrick.

If not, function > form! Go with some lightweight 17's. Enkei or Oz.

J/K - no one does that around here unless they're tracking. Except me

So, I finally made a decision. I fell in love with the look of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe rims after stumbling across these threads:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-t...-05-tl-896644/

https://acurazine.com/forums/market/973204

It took quite a while to find a good set, but I found a seller on eBay (with hundreds of excellent reviews) who had a brand new set that were powder coated from the factory and used on a demo car.

The rim specifications are the following:
Front: 19x8.0 +35 offset (Part #52910-2M120)
Rear: 19x8.5 +35 offset (Part# 52910-2M130)

I also purchased some aluminum 67.1 mm to 64.1mm hub centric rings.

With regards to the center caps, my research concluded that these Hyundai caps are 2 5/16'', which aren't obviously interchangeable with our Acura caps, since they are 2.75''. To give it the "Acura" authenticity, I plan to take the top cover off, paint the caps black, drill three holes, and add the chrome Acura emblem from a set of OEM Acura center caps. The problem is that Acura center caps are pretty expensive, so I hope I can find a cheap set somewhere online. We shall see.

Do NOOOOOOTTTTT use the OEM lug nuts. You NEED to make sure that you use the correct lug nut designed for the rims of your choosing. The only reason I purchased new rims is because I ruined my old ones by using the incorrect lug nuts. Please refer to my thread here:

I bought (x20) brand new Hyundai Genesis lug nuts that were designed for the rim.
