So my front breaks are done and I don't want to get the brembos b/c they make a lot of noise. So are these the next best alternative that WILL fit on my 07 TLS?

You'll have to use 225/35/19 up front with a minimum of 1 degree of camber...

the rear should work with a rolled fender and the 245/35/19...

Good Luck

lowering

ok so even though im not lowered i still have to go 225 up front? 225 would be a super stretch on a 9.5'' wheel

So I went and did some research which brought me to this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/offset-explained-569837/

and this calculator:
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

According to the calculator and assuming that the stock wheels are 17x7.5 +45 offset and the Axis hiro's 19x8.5 +45, the inner clearance will 13mm less and outter clearance will be 13mm more.

Again, I don't know much about wheels or have ever purchase any after market wheels, but all the numbers above seems ok to me. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!

stock wheels are 17x8 +45....

Like I said... you'll still be sunken in... but if you want to buy wheels without having to roll your fenders... then you'll be okey...

Question New TL Owner with wheel question

Great site and full of good information. I am looking at:

20x 8.5 front
20x10 rear
no drop
2006 TL Auto

Not sure the offset. Gianelle Qatar wheels.

I want the staggered look but not sure they will fit. The wheel guys (as I have read on here) don't always know. Before I make this investment I want to know what I can.

Sounds like the best tire for the ride will be the 245/30 that I am reading about here.

If the 20x10 fits what tire should I get for that wheel?

Again, thanks for the great information.

I don't think those wheels flow well with the car... But of course you have you own taste in the matter... Are you sure you want to spend close to $2,500 w/tires on those One piece Chrome Wheels???

what tires are you planning?

the front will be ok with 245/40-18 if you aren't lowered more than 1.5"

the rear will require negative camber

is your tl auto? if so it will fit but will look like a sunken battle ship, so you would likely have to work with an ichiban 10mm or 15mm hubcentric spacer which is 64.1mm center bore

if you tl is stick you will need a 20mm spacer
good luck

for 19x8.5 +56 you would want to put on some 245/35-19 tires

which will not rub even with a 20mm spacer

well the privat nets will fit if you buy them in 18x8 +30... you would be limited to 235/40-18 tires

me personally I would buy these instead simply because in 18" it is much more of an aggressive look
http://elementwheels.com/products.asp?cat=2351

18x8 +37 i believe should clear the brakes, at most will require a 5mm spacer which is no biggie, if that though, i don't think it will

keep the offset between +35 and +40

anything above 40 will have the sunken ship look
anything bellow +35 might rub on dips depending which tire size

235/35-19 is a good size if you have good roads
245/35-19 is a better size for cushioning

The 255/35/20 is too big... a better fit would be a 245/35/20 or 225/35/20... but you'll NEED to roll your rear fenders to make it work or add a 2 degree camber in the rear...

Good Luck

Questions on Wheels
Wheel Make/Model: Axis Penta
Wheel Size (**X**): F:19x8.5 - R:19x9.5
Wheel Offset (+**): ?
If lowered (amount): None

Questions on Tires
Tire Make/Model:Suggestions?
Width/Sidewall-Diameter (***/**-**):F:245/40-19 - R:255/40-19

Can you guys please help? I'm sorry, but i just came across this thread; if i knew i wouldn't have post a new one asking this same question.I got an 05 TL and I'm thinking about getting Axis Penta 19s (19x8.5F) (19x9.5R) but do not want to go with 30-35 series. Really want to do 40 series, since I've had horrible riding experience with 35s in the past. Does anyone know if this will cause the tires to rub? I don't plan on dropping the TL.

If i can't do this, then I will probably do the 18s" Penta Maxis (fake staggered). Please advise!!!
