08 TL Rough Ride

08 TL Rough Ride
I have a 2008 TL with 112,000 miles. I dropped it off this morning for the timing belt service, since I obviously forgot about it (or maybe on purpose). Anyway, I don't drive the car much anymore. My wife uses it for work. When I was riding this morning, I noticed that the ride was rough. I'm probably getting near time to replace the tires, 2-3 months. What are the recommended tires? Anything else I should be thinking about checking/changing.

Advise please
my TL is at 108k miles. I plan to keep it until at least 250k. Ride is fought as well. Seems like oem Acura Shock absorber assembly is a steal at $161.10. Should I jump on it and get two front ones? I’ve replaced my drivers upper control arm last weekend so I can handle two shocks. Should I get front passenger control arm replaced as well? How soon should I get alignment and from what shop? Acura dealership or Mom and pops store?
Thanks
Thanks

Check the sway bar end links. My car had horrible thumping over bumps. End links looked fine but replaced them and much better ride. I got Moog from RockAuto....very inexpensive and an easy job if your bolts are not rusted as bad as mine were.
Check motor mounts and the condition of suspension components. My car has 268,000 miles but amazingly most of the original suspension is OK.
Regarding tires, there are several threads on this topic. The stock Michelins are good but last year I switched to Continental Extreme Contact DWS06. These were much less expensive than the Michelins and I think that they perform better in every way.

Thanks, how do I check end links? Just pull on them? I still have nightmares of replacing sway bar and links on my 07altima. When I did my upper control arm the pinch bolt was very rusted and I almost gave up.

Endlinks can be checked by hitting the sway bar (where it connects to the link) lightly with a rubber deadblow hammer. If you hear rattling...they're done.
Buy links from Acura at like curryacuraparts or bernardiparts. They're close to the same money as aftermarket....and they're hands down significantly better quality.
Front OEM (Acura/Honda genuine) links are ready to go between 100 and 200K miles. Rears seem to be fine even after 200K miles. But...its different for every individual car, due to driving conditions.
Maybe you're just not used to the car. Its your wife's car. So if there's nothing leaking or broken or dangerous....why not just leave it alone?
At 100K, the only typical issue is front compliance bushings.
Why did you replace the UCA's? And what brand did you use? Did you wait to tighten the bolts from UCA to chassis until AFTER the car was resting on the ground?
How long ago were the UCA's changed?
When was the car's last alignment? If its out of alignment, the ride will be harsh.
Tires that are close to totally worn will also make the ride harsh.

Bad ball joint at 108k. You haven’t answered my question either. I remember mentioning that wife drove it but I don’t remember when.ive replaced it last weekend. I did load he suspension before tightening the castle but. Don’t know when the last alignment was performed.

Drifting
even if you replace everything, all the rubber bushings on these cars begin to get hard and some will crack.. and you can still get noise even if you replace ball joints and sway bar links and upper ball joint and even engine mounts.. Therefore I suspect it is all the bushings. Few people have really ever isolated the noise, although some noises can be fixed and some people claim they fix it... and I have fixed a few noises, but again, even after you fix all the obvious noises, there can still be a louder and rougher ride at even 90k miles than what it was at 35k.. Even if you replace your shocks.. dont matter..

Haha I’m not OP! But still creepy lol. My TL is 2010 with 109k miles. That vibrating noise is annoying as hell. I think it’s tires. Will update once I put almost brand new winter set on.
