They may not fit, however the tab can be bent if need be to fit on the caliper. As far as the rears go, i'm pretty sure they won't fit since the calipers are bigger and these just about fit on ours.. Don't forget these are made for the 2013 RDX front calipers so they should fit on the front calipers.

What I would want is the entire cover painted blue and the words white...But I don't know how to do that other than spend 6 hours perfectly laying tape of the words. How did other people do it?

my old jack had become "self lowering" /hijack

Swoosh, what model did you pick up from harbor freight? I have seen a low profile jack online and now that my regular Walmart jack won't fit under the side, I have a reason to head over and get a new low profile jack.

Dan,

I ended up getting this for $60 - 2.75" low and lifts upto 20"
http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...eel-68049.html

I really wanted this one but didnt wanna spend $140 on it...2.5" low and goes upto 23.75"
http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...uty-68050.html

the above jacks are really heavy but lift range is good....the following jacks are lighter and they dont raise the car as much and are on the higher $$$ side

like this one is 3.25" low and lifts upto 18.5"
http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...ons-68051.html

this one is cheap but 3.33" low and goes upto ONLY 14.75" high

This is late in the game but I wanted to say...

I personally feel like the only area that gets RTV that is really holding these covers on IS the long actual caliper part... And I wouldn't have felt safe not RTVing it to that. It's the only place with solid contact that has "no pressure".

So what if you gotta rip these off, shave the old rtv off, and remount every XX,XXX miles for pads...

You RTV only on the caliper bracket. I've put on roughly 2,000 miles and already did my brakes (Pads w/rotors) None of which had any issues with the cover being on. Others have done brakes after the covers were installed and didn't need to remove them also. RTV allows flexing, is great for all sorts of temps and last's almost forever. If you follow my instructions for installing them you will not have a problem. Think about how other caliper covers (Plastic ones) are installed? Those fancy brembo fakes.. are installed the same way, with glue. In this case RTV is much better than the crap most companies supply to install them.

Now all this applying on the caliper bracket was for the rears, on the fronts you can install them to the caliper themselves. You will have more area to support and again, it's not needed to remove them for doing a brake job.

Bottom line is: They look great, they are metal (painted, finished) and aren't a safety hazard.

you put the same ones as the rears on the front. no need to use the RTV. just have to RTV the rears because of the smaller caliper. Good luck finding a place that has 4 in stock! my local dealer only had 1 and there was 1 in california (makes 2 total...) still need 2 more, and for almost $30 a pop Ill look elsewhere for them!!

for the rears, using RTV, the covers are mounted to the caliper bracket.

for the fronts, using RTV, the covers are mounted on the caliper itself.

the covers are not in the way when you need to change the brake pads. i had to change a full set of pads with the covers and had no issues.

So what happens when/if the glue breaks off and now you have a caliper cover flying off inside your wheel? It could damage brake lines, etc. Anyone think of this?

It would bounce on the inside of the wheel for a second then fly out. I don't really see it being an issue.

With how I RTVed mine, that shit isn't going anywhere.

Great thread OP! Thanks. I just picked up two of these last week for my rears at a local dealership in Canada for $3.90 each. I'll get these installed when I switch to my summer wheels.

Is the caliper bracket made of cast iron?

Reason: Self tapping into cast iron will most likely crack it. I want to do this mod but I want the added security of self tapping screws.

^the RTV is strong enough. If you need added protection you can use JB Weld Epoxy. Personally I wouldn't drill into the caliper
