Lol! What do you mean by that? Aight. Here's a pic for yall. I've just never been too keen on taking pics of my car when it's stock. Lol.

Admirable job though...even stock, it looks great.
I agree, but it's fun to go back and see the progress and changes.
My old TL thread was a lot of bullshit but the pics made it interesting.

Plus, we're millennials...we need entertain and words are hard.

Hahahaha!! "Words are hard." Lol.

True. I'll be sure to post more pics tho. I'll keep this updated more often. Especially with me trying to decide on the coilovers I want to go with. This car, I want to do the "One and done" thing. Not going thru 4 different suspension set ups or selling every set of wheels I get. I would like to keep at least 2 or 3 sets of wheels. The OEM ones(for winter), a nice set for DD status and then some for meets and POSSIBLY shows. Lol. But that's only in a perfect world.

I'm actually looking at getting these from a friend next month. Racing Hart J8 Pros I think. 19x9s. I'm thinking I'm going to like them. Just need to have them stripped down. Not sure if I want to polish the lip and paint the spokes or just paint them a solid gunmetal color.

Thanks man. I had my TSX and enjoyed it. Especially the fitment I had with the Varrstoen wheels. But too many issues. With it being an 04, they had most of the problems. I vowed to never by the first year of anything again. Was gonna take me like $4k to get it where I wanted it. Axles, new suspension set up, Navi screen replacement, and a few other things. Then the trans and clutch went bad. When I spent $2600-3k on the trans, clutch kit, clutch master and slave cylinder, and shift cables, I was done with it. I sold it for $2800 and got my TL. Lol.

Decided to go with Tein Street Advance Z next month. Then in February, I'll be getting the EDFC controller for it.

Sometimes you got to sacrifice for the greater good if you know what I mean. I like my TSX but she needs more power! The TL Type S suits my needs and it's way more handsome. I'd get a manual so I can learn on it haha. Good luck with everything man.

Dude, I actually kinda like the patina on those...LMAO...looks almost intentional...just matte clear over it.
seriously, I LOVE picking powder colors on prismatic...much like a house wall though, they ALWAYS look darker on the car...
the pics they post are full sun or angled up which the wheels NEVER are once mounted.

I like contrast...looking like CE28s a bit...but probably older so these the real OG's...
and IMO...if you want a smooth ride, just stick with Tein....had them on my TL's for a combined 80K miles with zero issues and I was maxed out.
I'm not cambergang hellflush kindahomosexual though...I was just regular zero camber flush with fender gang. (it was a gang but we didn't beat anyone up).

True indeed. The TSX could have made some power. But I'd have to spend at LEAST $3k. That doesn't include a new clutch kit to handle the extra power(another $400+install). With the TL I can have the power I want for less. J pipe, mufflers, and intake and I'll be happy performance wise....for now. Lol.

Lol. I don't think that's the paint scheme. I think that was someone trying to peel the paint and it didn't work out too well. Lol. I'm going for a clean look on this car. No crazy patterns. Never been for that anyway. Hahaha.

The CE28s look good. I've always wanted a set of those. Never been at the front of my mind those. Work Meisters are the primary ones I want. If I can afford them. Lol.

I'm not much on the camber gang thing either. Lol. I just want the wheels flush with the fenders. I've never been for a massive negative camber thing. Tuck a little tire and I'm good. But I think I'll be going with the Tein Street Advance.

It's confirmed. Next month, gonna go with Tein Street Advance Z and the EDFC controller. Buying the coils next month. Getting the EDFC in February. Been wanting this set up FOREVER!! Figured since I was doing a one and done type thing, I'm gonna do it right the first tim around with the set up I want. Not just something to get me by.

Just waiting to order the parts. Trying to figure out if I should get the coils with the J pipe or the coils with the Injen CAI. Might do the J pipe since they gain more power than the CAi does. We'll see tho. OMG....Can't wait.

Also on the menu are brakes. Trying to decide if I should do the RL calipers with slotted rotors or should I just keep my current calipers and do slotted all around. Hmmm....Any suggestions?

Found these the other day. Gonna pick these up next month too. ESR SR04 18x10.5s. I know before I didn't want to do the whole "fitment" thing on this car but I was sure I was gonna end up doing it anyway. Lol. But I'll have two sets of wheels(if things work out like they should).

Aight. Scraped the Street Advance plans and going with the Flex Zs. slightly better adjustability and come with top hats already. Won't be installing them until I get the EDFC to go along with it. On the list:

-Tein Flex Z
-Tein EDFC
-Type S front lip
-dual tip mufflers
-eBay CAI
-RL Calipers with slotted rotors
-18x10.5 wheels. Might do different specs if some other wheels pop up

Just got my Tein Flex Zs in. I might go ahead and get them put in this week on a day I have off. We'll see tho. Had to put the wheels and EDFC on hold for now tho. I'll pick the EDFC up possibly later this month or next month. Not sure how long the wheels I wanted will be around. Found some Aodhan Ds02 18x10.5 for $650...Ugh I hate I missed out on that deal. I might want to find another set tho. Looking at them more and more on other TLs, I'm not sure I would have liked them that much. On the TSX, sure. But on the TL....not so much. I still have a set of 19x9 Racing Hart wheels I'll be getting from a friend. Just trying to put the money together.

Just got the LED fog light bulbs in yesterday. Waiting to have a chance to put those in. CAI will be in next week. Might just take a day and install all three at one time.

Lol. It's a blank canvas. Not sure what route to take. I'll be getting some 19s from a friend soon and I'll run those for the timing being. Then I can figure out what wheels I want.

Good for you!

I'm doing this because I've always loved having decals on my quarter windows. Not gonna sticker it up like a lot of people do. But when a company treats me well, why not represent for them? Heeltoe is one of the vendors on this website if I'm not mistaken. Why wouldn't I want to rep their emblem?

It's the small things that make a difference. Added Type S rear side markers. Now to get these daggon coilovers on....if I can get a day where I'm off and it isn't 35 degrees outside....stoopid winter....

Thanks man. If I can get a day when it's not raining and/or cold outside, I'll get the coils put on. Probably throw on some 20mm spacers too.

Got trade for these. Don't know the brand. They're 18x8.5s. They're ok. Might end up trading these soon tho. Verdict is still out on if I want to keep these. I have Friday off, it's supposed to be 61 and clear. Finally the coils will go on!

Took the 18s off. I couldn't stand them anymore. Lol. The look didn't sit well with me. Found the wheels I'll be getting. I'll wait to get them before I say. For the time being, I got some 04-06 TL wheels from a friend of mine. His is the grey one. 6spd and just added his RV6 J-pipe, exhaust, and 3.7 IM. Sounds great too.

You had nice wheels on car when You bought car... then traded for china crap and finished with base wheels which looks worst than first set which came with car.
You have so many plans but I dont see any progress other than plans. Good luck in future mods on so nice car.

Um...thanks?

I do have plans. The wheels was a rush thing for me and I should have thought that out better. Don't need to rub my face in it. I'm already beating myself up over it. These wheels I actually like. They only look bad because they aren't clean. These are actually in great shape. The person I got them from is very pciky about keeping his car clean. These have just been sitting in the shed for a while. I took one step backwards and that was thew wheels I just had. The next set I'll be keeping. Kind of hard to have progress when you have limited funds. Family comes first. Then mods.

Yeah. Day by day, I was starting to hate them. Lol. Glad they're gone.

Looking to get some 18x9.5s next month if things work out right. Trying to decide between AVID.1 AV-32s or something with a lip like some Varrstoen ES1s or XXR 521s in 18x10s. Idk yet. Still trying to decide.

Ninja edit: Just found the XXR 531s. Haha. Think I might end up going with those.

buy type-s wheels cheaper, You wont kill performance with bigger heavier wheels and in my opinion they look awsome the rest You could spend on family , plus tires will be cheaper too

Not looking TOO much about the performance. Lol. I plan to add a J pipe, mufflers, and the 3.7 IM. That's about it for "go fast parts". The TL has the power I'm looking for. About the max I would do is a Hondata for a tune to get the best I could out of it. But that's about it. But it'll be a couple years down the road. Trying to get sales consistent at work. Type S wheels would look nice. But I'd only want them for the daily or winter wheels. I decided I THINK on the XXR 531s or the AVID.1 AV-32s in 18x9.5 or 18x10. Tires I won't have a problem with getting for cheap. I know too many people and shop too much not to find some good deals on tires. Lol. I might end up going with the AV-32s since I can get a set of them for $580 when the XXR 531s are like $650 for the set. I want to get the EDFC for the Tein Flex Zs I have before anything else tho. So I'll put that on the list.

All this stuff are items I'll be saving up for. Gonna start following my dad's advice. "If what you want to buy is $400, make sure you have $800 in the bank. If it cost $700, make sure you have $1400 in the bank. Always make sure you have double what you plan to spend in the bank." As long as I do that, I know I'll be aight when it comes to buying mods for the TL.
