Jon’s slow Type-S & Mustang Progress Thread

I could not stand this so off to the local upholstery shop it went

Whats up guys. My name is Jon and I Bought my 07 about a year ago and love it so far. It’s got higher miles 180k but the water pump, timing belt, and other big ticket maintenance items were done at about 160k. Last owner did some maintenance but she was a little neglected. So far I’ve fixed the drivers seat-pics will be attached, along with a short shifter, and torque damper. Just finished restoring the lights and they turned out great. Next mod will be koni yellows with h and r springs. I have the parts so hopefully they’ll be going on soon. I’ve learned a lot from here so far and can’t wait to continue the journey! Btw my other car is a 90 Mustang notchback that I am currently coyote/6r80 swapping so I might post some pics of that progress too. Cheers

After. It’s amazing what a little wetsanding, buffing, and of course uv protectant can do to headlights.

I asked because I was wondering if you were going to the Mid-Ohio Acura corral this weekend. Not sure if there is still time but tickets and parking were free to all who drove there in their Acura.

Ahh that would've been awesome but unfortunately I have other plans. I have never been to Mid Ohio but I've always wanted to go to a test session. Maybe after I put the Koni's on and upgrade the tires.

Im going to post some pics of my 90 mustang project Ive had since I was 16, I didn't start a build thread on the mustang forums because of all the annoying owners ha. It was originally a 2.3 5 speed car-for a month of ownership- then I had a 357 Windsor with a TKO 500 trans put in. Eventually with good heads and internals, and a good tune the car went mid 11's N/A. 3 years ago I sold the pushrod motor for a 14 coyote/6r80 combo. After renovating our house, having my first kid, and graduating school I am now consistently putting time into it. Hope you guys enjoy the pics

Haha Yeah man theyre fun and pretty cheap to build-sometimes. These are the Scott Rod bay panels. He's local and a really nice guy. New motor should be going back in soon. This might turn into a Notch build thread lol

I think the coolest part about it is that you've had it since you were 16!!
that's super bomb to have a material possession, as large and as expensive as a car, all your life.

Not sure how to use the multiquote so forgive me...But yes I told my wife 8 years ago when I met her that my car was here before her and it will be here after her hahahah she hates the car a lot of the time but oh well. And really?! LS Swap?1 hahaha someone had to ask though, it's really sad to see all the swaps into Fords and Im not even just a Ford guy I like anything fast just not a fan off crossbreeding. The plan is the totally stock sealed coyote/6r80 with a 75mm BorgWarner on about 8lbs-stock rods do not like anything above 700 or so hp. It will be enough for my 2,900 lb car

Dude, 2 years ago a neighbor had a clean Steeda body Supercharged Fox...He was original owner...he sold it before letting me know which annoyed the hell out of me.
If you click the box to the right of the "quote" button...you can select all of them and then hit quote and it'll multiquote.

I'm with you, man...if you're a car guy, you aren't brand loyal IMO.

Oh my...Steeda and Saleen foxes are my favorite that's a shame, would've been a nice pick up. And thanks, that function is really easy to use. My brothers have a 86 and 91, which are very highly modded but it'd be nice to have a stock one just to jump in and enjoy. It was tempting to get a fox to dd but I have a kid so the type-S fit in perfectly. Great car so far

Thanks they are pretty good looking for the price. This is a xxr 560 18x8.5 +35, I know some will bash the brand but I went budget friendly. Hoping it will fit with the brembos. Ill also weigh it today when I test fit it.

Unfortunately wheel did not fit over the brembos. Was just barely hitting. I really don’t wanna run spacers. If anyone was wondering those in 18x8.5 weighed 24.5 on my scale
