Funny, I met up with Clean_CL and when I saw his exhaust, I thought he had gotten a type S swap...it looks VERY good and clean in person.

The ONLY reason I would think about it is to look like I have an exhaust...but I really do love the OEM exhaust tips. If we were back to 60 bucks for em, I'd consider it, I guess.

You'd be surprised, man...

but...then again, I've said I wasn't and then done it so many times. Honestly though, the FIRST thing I fell in love with on this car was the exhaust tips that fit the shape of the opening in the bumper...AND, they look good, but something looks a little "off"...plus, I'm not a huge fan of looking like I'm looking like a wanna be type S.

At the same time, seeing clean cls' made me reconsider cause his looked like they were OEM.

Hmmmm...

I think he bought the 200 ones...he's the first person that posted that he found them on ebay and they cost double.

he also posted pics of them on the car.

You have to email them for price since it's not listed on the website. I spoke to Terrance C. and Mandy Hsu

Aight guys, these tips might work according to the specs on their website but I'll confirm the size with them later today and maybe some actual photos too if possible.

These are 2.5'' inlets, the ones on Ebay for $200 are 2.25'' inlets.. Is there a big difference?

Oh haha, well obviously there's a 0.25'' difference but I was referring to fitment wise. I didn't wanna buy something that would not fit right, but thanks for your answers.

with that close a gap, the weld can actually fill the difference...otherwise you'd have to buy a reducer and cut and make it work. ideally...a 2.5 gets a 2.5 matched up with it.

I agree...I think I may be leaning toward this too...
I would NEVER have considered it...but when I watched Clean's CL leaving the gas station when I met up with him, I have to admit, it looked DAMNED sexy...
and this actually fits the bill for me...I WON'T spend the money for a full exhaust...but I DO love the look.

Hmmm...I'm semi annoyed that TLDude might be right.

This seller has a lot of these tips for sale in other auctions, just click on his other parts for sale. These are the same as the other pair that have gone up to $199. I have them waiting to be installed and they look amazing!
I bought the tips off a member in the Market, he bought them from this seller. I don't see any listed in his other auctions, but send him an email to see what he has. They cost approx $100 shipped though him. I paid $90 shipped in the Market.

TLDude...
in the meantime. I'm going to give you 1 tip for free.
Do NOT eat the yellow snow.

On a serious note, remember our PM's?!? Well a member recently sent me pics of their Type S exhaust...and looking closer at the OEM tips made me realize your idea SHOULD work perfectly. Might I suggest you swinging by a dealership or a friend with a type S and take some measurements before doing what you're going to do.

Its like you are reading my damn mind My co worker has a type s and I just asked to measure her tips but she didn't drive in today Either way I get tips in the mail today so we will see. I still have to cut them since they aren't staggered but I think they should fit the gap perfectly. My exhaust guy is pretty bad ass so this should look close to OEM. On a side note, as soon as I made the purchased, the seller increased the price and now there are none for sale. I will keep you guys updated.

Some generic 3" quads but I had to do some custom work to get them to fit and to make them staggered. Basically had to cut the tips apart then have them set how I wanted them.
