Power steering cooler thread
I have decided I needed a power steering cooler after seeing my reservoir levels change drastically after several hours of intense city driving & parking & turning etc.
The fluid was close to MAX on the reservoir, and I think when it got hot, it expanded and leaked-spilled in the general area near the reservoir.
PS pump was rebuilt and put in few months ago so hopefully no chance of cavitation bubbling it up.
I hate cleaning up PSF because no matter how clean I get I still feel like it's creeping into my rubber parts and the belt.
I thought, it'd help the pump seals last longer if the fluid was cooler so cooler is already on its way and I gotta go buy some hose and clamps.
Being very happy with B&M transmission cooler for the 6th year, I'm using their smallest model with low temp bypass 70255.
But, before I start install I need to know if our OEM steel pipes are 3/8" or 11/32".
Also, I'd like to know if it's possible to shove in 11/32" hose over a 3/8" fitting and vice versa.

IF there's a leak in the lines the PS fluid could be bubbling in the reservoir. The level should remain pretty steady too. Did the shop check for any damage to the lines, rack and pinion?
