Headlight Modification for 06 TL

Anybody doing headlight mods? I've tried a search and there are no current threads and many DIY threads. But, no one that I can find to send my headlights in for modification. Thanks!!

How much are you willing to pay?

A set of modified headlights went for $250 recently.
Kind of depends on what someone is willing to do for me.
carbon fiber, halo, removing amber, smoked.
modify what I have or modify new.
I know its not cheap, but I'm having front end body work done and now is a great time to pull the trigger on this.

I’ve seen sets anywhere from $200-$350
shipping is the killer on them that most people avoid. $85ish to ship the set. So you’d pay that x2, plus the cost to do the work

if you’re willing to do it though I’ll do it lol

True on the prices.
I'll have to rethink this option.
thanks for the info.

I'd argue that a completely modified set for $250 is unlikely, unless the headlights have some damage or you are JUST paying for the modification service (including a headlight swap program). If you are buying a separate set of headlights and paying for someone to remove the amber diffusers, paint internal components, add carbon fiber, and add halos, you'll be paying a lot more than $250 IMO. Feel free to prove me wrong...

Don't quote me, but I'm not sure that users can provide/promote services unless they are authorized vendors, so be careful everyone.

OP - Why don't you post a WTB thread in the Marketplace? It might take some time, but you might have better luck there.

Yeah if you’re paying a vendor to do them you’re definitely going to pay more.
The price I mentioned were a member selling off some set they no longer need anymore.

Thanks for all the info.

I purchased a new set of headlights from Delray Acura and might just add the halo from lightwerkz myself.

holy shit what did that cost you lol
use the new ones on the car and then mod your old set to your liking. I wouldn’t open a brand new set if I were you...

Yea, I know. $$$!!!
I figured I would spend the $$ on new ones and they will hopefully last as long as the old ones did. Perfect time to do it because of front end body work being done. Let insurance pay for the bumper removal and install and replace the lights at the same time.
I'll have good used lights for sale!!
How much do you think the used lights are worth?

Do a search on sold lights on the marketplace to get an idea.

$150-$200 per headlight, right? If you can get a GOOD set of two headlights for that low of a price, I'd be very impressed. My experiences show that a quality used headlight goes for around $200 (or around $400 per set).

No I’ve picked up multiple pairs for $150. They need a restore but that’s about it. Not sure what you mean by good lol

Wow, good for you. That's awesome!

The sets I always looked at included ballasts, because I have an 05 and was looking at 07-08s. Did the ones you purchased include those too? If not, that can easily add another $150 to the price.

Yeah people around here are too lazy to remove all the stuff so I get a bumper bracket, ballast with mount, and all bulbs/sockets. Lol

Im in a pretty dense area tho so there’s probably a lot of competition in terms of people selling. Phoenix AZ is a pretty big city.

Well lots of cheap people out here. The offers I’ve had on headlights/taillights and related parts would make you upset lol

I sold my pair of headlights from my part out for $200/piece and that was no bulbs, ballast or ignitors.

That's what I'm saying! These are actually very expensive headlights, so when you said $150 for a full set with everything included, it sounded crazy.
