advice needed

greetings all
so im in a dilemma here and seeking opinions
purschased an 06 with transmission issues.
went ahead and bought a 40k miles 2007 from the auction not knowing the subframe/transmission are different
the subframe from the auction car is damaged.
can i use the 2006 control arms in a 2007 subframe?
i need to buy a subframe to use the auction cars powertrain, or do i abort mission, sell the 40K engine and trans and just buy the correct transmission for my 2006?

thoughts?
subframe quote was 750

FWIW: Couple of potential options, If You have access to an LKQ pick-n-pull yard, you could buy a used sub-frame for around $100.00. You may also want to consider installing an 06-07 Honda Accord AV6 transmission, in your 06 TL. The AV6 transmission would be far superior to the 06 TL transmission. Since the 07 TL transmission is very reliable, it should be an easy sell.

I'm not understanding why a sub frame is necessary. Or, said another way, even if it is necessary, the 2007 tranny will still not fit in the 2006 TL because it will not bolt up to the engine. Sell the salvageable bits of the 2007 and buy a BAYA transmission from a 2006-2007 Accord V6 and call it a day.

06 subframe is missing the bracket/ear for the lower trans mount. Both engines are 3.2L, small differences on intake manifold but overall looks the same. I can’t imagine the 07 wouldn’t bolt up to the 06.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no way to bolt an automatic transmission from a 2007 TL to the engine of a 2006 TL.

Haven't personally done it, but the folks who have attempted the migration say there is more to it than that (wiring harnesses, programming...); even still there are niggling issues. By F-A-R your best option would be to buy a BAYA transmission from a 2006-2007 V6 Accord and put that in your car; then sell the salvageable parts you have from the 2007.

i cant remember the full details but would it be due to 07-08 using the can bus communication whereas 04-06 is standard obd2?

if i have an engine, trans, ecu, harness, subframe and gear selector cable (different mounting ends)
that should all sit and function in a 06 body. no?

Please understand, even if it "should" fit, it doesn't always work 100%; search here, there are stories from people who've tried what you're proposing, of ongoing issues that may never be solved . The proper course of action is to swap in a proper transmission, that being a BAYA tranny from a V6 Accord.

Devil's advocate: Just pull stuff from the 07 and start doing it. You'll soon realize what you need or not need and it can be agreat learning experience that you can share with the rest of us
