2006 5AT trouble starting - DIY suggestions?

Hello,

My 2006 5AT has been having trouble starting. Lights, radio, etc. work fine; battery is pretty new...contacts and cables look fine.
I turn the key and I get a buzzing sound from the fuse compartment, but no start.
Sometimes it does this, sometimes it works fine...

Hoping to DIY. My research came up with a few possibilities. Trouble is I'm having a bit of trouble differentiating some of the parts.
Can anyone chime in with any help/advice/recommendations?

1) Ignition switch - this is the switch in the steering column?
-this came up somewhere but I don't think this is the culprit...

2) Main Relay/Starter Relay - these are the "big" relays above the fuses by the driver's seat? Are there specific fuses I should check?
-could it be as simple a replacing these? Can I just get generic replacements at a parts store?

3) Starter/Starter Motor/Starter Solenoid - between the engine and battery - are these all the same/part of the same unit?
- I feel like this is most likely the case. Can anyone suggest a decent substitute for OEM?

Anything else I should look at?

Thanks!

Thanks for reading this. Due to no replies, I re-posted a shorter, clearer version in the problems and fixes forum.
