98 Acura CL Retro fit 2008 TL Engine & Tranny
I have 1998 Acura CL 3.0, I also have a 2008 TL 3.5 Engine & Tranny that I would like to retro fit into the 98 CL. Was wondering if anyone here has ever done this retro fit and if it can be done?

search for cocoa. he did the J32 swap with an odyssey block and RL cams which made it 3.5. Its a very tight fit in the engine bay which he does have issues closing the hood, so he bent it. wiring is going to be a mess. and if you are paying somebody its expensive. he also used a 6speed CL-S tranny

Possible? Yes, time and money would be your expense. The j35a5 is shorter in length and weighs less than the 3.2's and older 3.5's out of the older J-series. Your biggest obstacle would be wiring it all up.

Ya, I am not sure if I want to change the rear main seal, the timing belt and water pump or yank it all out and rebuild everything because I know the intake manifold has a lot of carbon build up but still runs good, just leaks oil. I would really like someone to rebuild the engine and trans with all Acura replacement parts but it is very hard to trust anyone let alone get ripped off on the money end of it as well. Wish I knew what to do? The rest of the car on a scale of 10 is 8, pushing 9..Sweet ride!!
